It was well suited for quick chats. Sometimes a topic over chat can be too complicated and requires a phone call which ClickDesk gives an option for a phone call. It is too specific and limited to conversations. The reason we moved away from this to Microsoft Teams is because Teams is a more all in one solution. It can do chat, phone calls as well as webinars and screen sharing.

Freshchat

Freshchat is suitable in scenarios where you want to provide your customers with different platforms for contacting your sales department and handing each customer to the right agent. It lets users accumulate customer data and categorize conversations for the purposes of building realistic expectations from every single discussion. Freshchat has a way of exposing our brand through plenty of methods.

  • They have a simple agent panel, your agents don't have to be a pro tech to manage their agent panel.
  • They also have a simple ticking system along with live chat, it's not huge but it does work.
  • Easy to implement with well known knowledgeable and CMS.

Freshchat

  • User-friendly - this was incredibly important for us as several team members with different backgrounds needed to find the platform mutually easy to use.
  • Analytics - the data collected by the tool is accurate and easy to understand, helping us take decisions internally regarding customer targeting and content/site improvements that are necessary.
  • Puts us in control - the tool has allowed us to remain totally in control of customer communication/support tickets/automated bots through our sites, an enormous advantage considering other options we looked at outsourced this and therefore could potentially lead to miscommunication or mismanagement.

  • Windows native application that has all the services we can use from browsers. The application should be boot with PC starts and notifies real time actions.
  • More information about users. Real time page visiting histories (more advanced way).
  • Customers can review the agent's profile information (public profile).

Freshchat

  • Inconsistent notifications - the chat notification works intermittently for agents. They don't always know they have a chat or that a customer responded.
  • Does not work in Safari browser. When I discussed with their support, they said just use another browser.
  • It is supposed to distribute chats based on ticket load, but it did not seem to do this fairly.

ClickDesk was good at what it did, but it doesn't have the holistic approach that Teams does. With Teams, you can not only chat and make calls, you can host webinars. You can see when people have read your messages to see if they are ignoring you or not. Screen sharing is a breeze and is easy to presentations with the audience. People can virtually raise their hands when they have a question. Also, it [is] easy to conduct polls from the audience in Teams.

Freshchat

We have used Intercom.The terms used within Intercom were quite complex and the knowledge curve was not very smooth.Additionally, unlike Freschat, we were required to create another help page for FAQs (something like help.drivezy.com). Setting up this was time taking and was not convenient for end users.Not sure if there was a support for mobile apps with Intercom, we could readily find that with Freshchat.

  • We only see positive impact. We use the free version and it is the best option we found in the market (considering our website traffic).
  • It is in the cloud! So, no hosting costs at all! The only need is a stable Internet connection for the agents.
