Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Tipalti has simplified our AP approval process saving time and improving efficiency. Setting up and paying vendors has never been easier. Vendors can select the payment method they prefer and provide W-9 information all within Tipalti. Monthly and year-end reporting is a breeze with the reconciliation and 1099 preparation reports.
Pros
  • Provides email for automatic scan and upload of invoices.
  • Learns and automatically codes invoices.
  • Easily allows flexibility of invoice approvals.
  • Saves our accounting department time!
Cons
  • Ability to change the number of and assignment of required approvers for payment approval.
  • Simplify process for paying an invoice previously paid but payment was rejected.
  • Would be nice to see the originating email of incoming invoices. Occasionally, there are pictures in as invoices to be reviewed with no other information and no way to tell who it was from.

The School of Life implemented Tipalti to help process and automate our supplier and freelancers invoices and payment.<br>It has helped us streamline the entire accounts payable department to reduce admin constrain, human error and bank fees.<br>There has never been a problem with our deposits and their support team are extremely professional, efficient and very quick to respond to our enquires.<br>The School of Life's accounting system is Netsuite and Tipalti syncs with it very well.<br>Also one of the best feature of Tipalti is that it is extremely user friendly and easy to learn from both the supplier/freelancer side (e.g. signing up and viewing past invoices and user side (processing invoices and making payments).<br>Overall we are happy with Tipalti and highly recommend it. <br><br><br> <br><br>

Likelihood to Recommend
The School of Life has many big corporates clients who uses other onboarding and payment platforms which are not very user friendly. But Tipalti is extremely user friendly so this stands out very well.
Suppliers want to get on-board smoothly as possible and have no issues with payment.
This is where Tipalti comes in and helps with this process.

Generally, Tipalti is a good system.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Basically, we use Tipalti to process all the invoices. We received invoices by e-mail, then forward them to Tipalti. They coded it and send it to our bank approvers to approve. The Tipalti makes our bank approver deal with questions fast and easy. If they saw any mistakes, they can easily send them back to AP action. The Tipalti system also upgrades basic our coding. The more invoices we have processed, the Tipalti will gain smarter. It can select an entity and expense account for you automatically.

Cons
  • Can't send PO matching invoices to our customers
  • Some sync failure problems
Likelihood to Recommend
Tipalti is good for medium size company for process daily invoices. It has some trouble processing PO matching invoices. The PO matching invoices will go to pending payment without Bank approvers to approve.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Tipalti for payments to clients and partners in area of digital distribution, who are mainly positioned in Serbia. It is a very user friendly product so in the shortest possible time we can transfer money to accounts of our clients in Serbia. We use this platform almost on a daily basis, but mostly at the end of the month.
Pros
  • Money transfer is pretty easy and quick, no matter what is the bank of the payee.
  • Payment history is always available, so user can see all details with only one click.
  • Very easy to navigate and manage more accounts, with different currencies.
  • Possibility to remember username for 30 days, which significantly saves time during the log in process.
  • Generating account statement in csv or pdf format, making it easier for data manipulation.
  • Approval of batch of payments with only one mouse click.
  • Quick responsive customer support.
Cons
  • After rejection some payments by approver, due to computational errors, we needed more time to upload another csv file and to approve it - decrease time between these two actions.
  • We had a situation where some internal transfer from another bank account was wrongly booked in an account we didn't want to send to - time for resolving this kind of issue should be lower.
  • To make possible that payments made in one day be available on the same day if another user (payee) also has account at Tipalti.
  • No other issues or areas for improvement that we have noticed so far - we are very satisfied with Tipalti service.
Likelihood to Recommend
Ease of use, good and user friendly interface, quick response on requests by customer support, ease of money transfers even between countries. Recommend Tipalti for all kinds of payments, both to companies and individuals. We haven't experienced some less appropriate situations for Tipalti so far, having in mind our needs and purposes, we use Tipalti for and we can only suggest few small areas for improvement which we had already mentioned - payments to be available in the same day if payee has an account at Tipalti too and similar.

We implemented Tipalti last year to manage our Accounts Payable workflow. It has been great. It syncs with our accounting system, the invoice approval process is simple for managers, and payments are easy to make.
