Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use ADP Workforce Now for all our timekeeping and payroll processing functions. We also utilize a lot of the reporting functions for a variety of areas around the organization. We don't utilize this platform in its full capacity, [and I] believe we are looking to move on from ADP because it is a bit too robust for our organizational needs.

Pros and Cons

Report customization seems to be easy
Hiring new employees into the system is easy
Terminating and transferring direct reports is nice

Payroll processing for certain exempt employee situations seems hard (half pay periods, bonus payouts)
Giving an employee multiple positions has been an issue
Hard to navigate and find certain menus at times

Return on Investment

I feel that from the employee side there have been many complaints about the ease of use.
We still have managers struggling to navigate PTO approval/timecard approval, [which] might go back to the clunkiness of the platform.

Scalability

We already use this product organizational-wide, but as I have stated, a couple of places in this review. It is not very user-friendly from the employee's perspective or the administrator's side of things. I find myself [...] a savvy user and able to figure out most things on my own (which I have), but I have also been on the phone with ADP support services a whole lot more than I would think should be necessary.

Support Rating

This is one area that actually was very helpful over the past few months. I have been able to lean on support services for certain tasks that I haven't been able to figure out how to do myself. Support has usually been able to figure out my problems relatively quickly for the most part, which has been very welcome.

Likelihood to Recommend

It really depends on the size of the organization that the person is asking for the recommendation. I don't think this platform is suitable for smaller companies. There are a lot of functions that we aren't utilizing currently, and the price point is unnecessarily high for an organization of our size. We can do what we need with a different platform that is specifically geared toward smaller companies and is a lot cheaper, and this is the direction that we are going.
