Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is our retail and sometimes wholesale platform for sales.

Pros and Cons

Back end is easy to navigate.
They have a lot of features included.

Wholesale platform needs work!
Variant listings need to be made better.

Return on Investment

It is okay, they switched eBay integration and don't support FBA.
They do provide an easy and clean store so we can conduct sales.

Approximate Annual eCommerce Revenue

$20,000 to $100,000

Scalability

Too expensive, to go from $80 to $250 is a ridiculous jump. They should have modules like 3dcart that can be added for a one-time fee.

BigCommerce Customization

They changed some and it made it harder. Generally though I use ShipStation and it works flawlessly. Have a couple of other APIs no real problems.

Alternatives Considered

3dcart, Shopify Plus and Magento Open Source

It is cleaner and easier but sacrifices apps and features. It includes SSL where 3dcart charges. Magento is just too bulky for one person to operate.

It's good, but it doesn't take glitches seriously and for 80 bucks a lot of other services include more wholesale features. They also said one thing and then changed the service later. I left Shopify for that reason. A part of me wishes I had stayed.

BigCommerce is good, but needs work/better pricing. 3dcart is a possible alternative we might switch to this year!
