Overall Satisfaction with Braze

We use Braze for all CRM sends, in-app messages, and Canvases. These are used to run our lifecycle conversion and retention campaigns, short-term manual sends, promotional sends/campaigns, subscription conversion and retention sends as well as running A/B tests. This is a major tool for a large chunk of our marketing communications.
  • Canvases are a straightforward way to dynamically target users
  • We have a lot of control over our email templates- especially compared to the last service we used
  • Built-in reporting is fantastic and offers solid insight
  • Braze integration with our consumer-facing App opened up a lot of options for us when running promos
  • Our CRM team does a lot of template tweaking on a regular basis, so they don’t want us to duplicate emails, in particular otherwise they might break. I wish there was an easy way to move over copy from one email template into another with the click of a button.
  • When sending push notifications we always use the same copy for Android and iOS users- it would be nice to have one input for copy instead of copy/pasting content from the Android field into the iOS field
  • The email templates do not allow Grammarly to apply edit suggestions to copy, which is unfortunate because I rely on Grammarly to ensure my copy is written well without error. Currently we have to copy/paste the content into a Google doc to make sure the copy is written well
  • Our customer experience is much more cohesive- it allows multiple departments to run numerous campaigns at the same time without them conflicting with one another which is great- saves contributors a lot of unnecessary back and forth
  • Better tracking- we are able to pivot away from campaign styles faster using Braze tracking as it is faster and more reliable
  • Reduced execution time- our team has gotten back dozens of hours of time because of the streamlined execution process and user-friendly interface. This has provided us with more time to think creatively and focus on the bigger picture
  • We are able to run more complex campaigns in order to target customers across more stages of the shopping and browsing experience
Braze is very usable - I have trained numerous colleagues across a handful of departments with a wide variety of backgrounds and they all take to Braze very easily. It is just complicated enough that it appeals to those who are looking to run very complicated multi-tier campaigns, while also being simple enough for those without a lot of experience to use it without messing anything up (haha). Training and follow-up questions required less time overall than with other applications we use to run campaigns
Cross-channel functionality has helped my team run more complex and targeted campaigns for retention and conversion, which has had an immediate and long term positive impact on growth and reduced churn rates for our subscription services. Overall we require less time to execute and even less time to iterate on and optimize campaigns during their run time or to enhance them and rerun them thereafter. Everything regarding CRM and in-app campaigning has become more efficient.
Braze compliments many of our other services and even though it required a lot of initial effort to get Braze integrated with our app, web, stack, etc. It resulted in less training time and provided us with more features in order to enhance the user experience across the board, especially with CRM. Our company is focused on improving efficiency in order to reduce costs while also enhancing the customer experience and keeping them in the funnel. Braze allows us various ways to address customer needs without requiring a ton of maintenance from individual contributors.

I think Braze is fantastic in most ways- if a colleague is looking to manage a wide variety of promotions across lifecycle, holiday, retention and conversion campaigns, Braze is a great tool. It is also very customizable and can fit a wide variety of styles that work with your department or company aesthetic. This isn’t as useful if you are trying to make merchandised articles (like in Shopify, for instance) but it can compliment other applications like Shopify quite well.
