Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

we primarily use it to track progress on a myriad of tasks between multiple departments. I can see where product engineering is on their tasks that I am dependent on. The biggest upgrade in moving to ClickUp was having specific conversations around individual tasks as opposed to endless threads in Microsoft Teams or Slack.
  • dashboards
  • custom statuses
  • list and folder organization
  • notifications
  • needs more power in the gantt view
  • needs to be able to set duration for tasks
  • ability to hide comments section for certain top level tasks to reduce confusion.
  • reduces my staff meeting prep time by 30 minutes
  • reduces my BOD report update time by 30 minutes
  • reduces overwhelm for me by knowing i have it all sorted.
It has greatly improved visibility between our project engineers and manufacturing engineer teams. we have less meetings now to know where we are. I can just search for the latest comment from the other team without getting up and finding someone to get an answer. the task-focused system has helped me reduce my email time every day and the search function inside of ClickUp is far more powerful than the search bar in Outlook.
Reducing long drawn out email chains is one of my goals in the whole thing.
another big part is using custom fields to communicate multiple aspects of where a task is at a glance in a custom list or table view.
Microsoft Project has too many options and requires a college course to learn how to keep it moving. It is not live, no app access and has no comment threads. I did not personally use Asana, our marketing director did for his work and we were able to convert him to join ClickUp and organize his team using the platform.

Do you think ClickUp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ClickUp's feature set?

Yes

Did ClickUp live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

if you are just working through tasks and do not require a high level view this is great. My leadership struggles with creating a high level view like what Microsoft Project could produce where tasks can be driven by start date and duration to calculate length of a project.

I like it for our stand up meetings to run through the status of everything we are working on.
