Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
ClickUp is used across our Marketing, Communications, Philanthropy and Partnerships teams. We use it to manage all our BAU tasks and project management tasks. It has greatly improved the visibility of work across team members and increased accountability for execuing responsibilities. Updates of work and requests for input from someone other than the task owner is done through mentions in comments.
- integrate with Outlook to create tasks direct from my Outlook inbox
- flexibility of view across all levels of work allowing you see status of tasks in any way you wish
- for managers the ability to see work across multiple teams is very valuable
- I use Table view as my primary view. When I click on a task it edits the task name instead of opening the task - this is very frustrating. There should be an icon at the end of the name to edit the task name.
- improved duplication of status levels across all spaces and lists. I find I need to recreate my unique status set when I add a new space or list
- in mobile view condense empty fields (e.g. description) so sub-tasks arent pushed down so far
- Visibility is up 1,000%
- Accountability is crystal clear now, which really works for Working From Home
We now have teams that are separate by function and geography working on synchronised tasks. So the Partnerships team and the Communications team have seperate spaces in ClickUp but shared tasks which is critical for aligned effort to project outcomes. We also communciate across teams using mentions and comments within those tasks, keeping all relevant updates in one place.
We havent progressed much with automation. We have set up Outlook integration for all team members so they can shift tasks out of Outlook directly into ClickUp - this has improved visibility across the teams and reduced lost or forgotten tasks that sink to the bottom of the email inbox.
ClickUp has greater flexibility - particularly in the views than all the other software we've tried. The ability to see tasks for yourself or your team or multiple teams is incredibly powerful for accountability and focus on priorities.
