Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy for all our employee scheduling. It also functions well for us as an internal message board. It aids us in payroll processing by allowing us to export our employees hours into our payroll system. Deputy works great for us and solves several problems at once.

Pros

  • Scheduling.
  • Exporting into payroll.
  • Employee messaging.

Cons

  • I wish it would allow for salaried employees to have set number of hours that export with the hourly employees.
  • Payroll accuracy.
  • Time required to process payroll.
  • Time required for all aspects of scheduling.
  • Intuit Online Payroll (discontinued)

We get very little questions or complaints from staff, which is a good thing.
There are no problems with implementation other than tweaking payroll export codes to make it work nicely with our payroll service.
Deputy works great for addressing the scheduling for many hourly employees. As far as I can tell, it doesn't work as well with salaried staff, but I could be wrong and haven't investigated that in a year or so.
