Overall Satisfaction with Linode

The except for secure "off-site" storage, all IT activities are run through Linode. It addressed at first cost and flexibility problems. It continues to do so, but now also secures its place because of its swift, prompt, and polite technical help. It is not being used throughout the whole organization.

  • It has made costs predicable.
Linode is most cost effective among all services reviewed and particularly well suited for cases in which loads are predictable and not continually expanding.
Linode's technical support has been swift, prompt, thorough, and polite, though the service is so reliable I have not had to contact technical support often. In one case, I mistakenly contacted tech support for a problem that was not in Linode's purvey, and the support staff went far beyond any support I've received from any other firm.
With the several organizations for which I use Linode alternative services are in use, including internal services. Linode is the only one that has not so far had any down time or slow support response times.
I recall, vaguely, a period of downtime lasting less than two minutes three or four years ago, but, I do not recall if it was actually Linode or not. The main reliability problem stems from having to think about Linode so seldom: I often have to relearn any Linode-specific procedures when I have to use the service.
