Overall Satisfaction with Litmus

Litmus is used within the email marketing teams for the USA and the UK, it is also used by some product teams. We use Litmus to make sure that all our emails look good on multiple email clients before sending. This helps us ensure that our emails look/read as they should do, and helps us to catch any issues that could prevent our emails from landing in the inbox at all.
  • Email previews: there's a huge selection of devices and clients to preview your email on.
  • User interface/experience is top-notch on Litmus. Everything is easy to find and understand, and there are so many guides to help if you get stuck.
  • The support team are one of the most helpful support teams I've ever worked with.
  • They're a leader in email marketing best practices, advice, and tips. Their emails and blog posts are really helpful.
  • Litmus is always ahead of the curve and demonstrates this in their platform where they add new features quickly and timely. A recent example is a feature they put in to help prepare for Apple Mail Privacy Protection.
  • I honestly can't think of anything. Litmus is always a step ahead and usually rolls out new features before I've even thought that I needed them.
  • Time saved by easily testing emails in a short turnaround, especially since Litmus integrates with our ESP so we can test directly in the platform without needing to jump between windows.
  • Allowed us clearly to see what impact Apple Mail Privacy Protection will have on our audience.
  • The ability to see how the content of the email performs by using Read Time stats and other metrics available in the reports (we aren't able to get these in our ESP or other tools).
It's been a huge benefit to be able to access email tests from within the ESP itself. We've had template issues before where I needed to go back and forth between the email I was building, and a specific preview on Outlook to check that I was fixing a rendering issue. If I didn't have the integration directly into the ESP, I would have had to send a preview each time I made a change, then find that preview within Litmus in a different window and check it over. The integration allows me to preview it right there in the same window. As does the Chrome extension which I have also found helpful.
It has allowed us to see what devices our audience is using most, which made us focus on a mobile-first design, and allowed us to explain to other teams why it's so important that we cater to mobile users.

We've also been able to get insights into how long people spend reading our emails, so we now know where to put the most important information to ensure it's read.
We haven't used the Litmus Proof feature as we have a feature within our ESP that allows us to do the same thing. However, if we didn't have it available directly in our ESP I'm sure we would have utilized this feature.
We used Email on Acid previous to Litmus. It was also a great tool and allowed us to do a lot of the same stuff, but a few key features were missing that we can access in Litmus:
1. Spam testing
2. Subject line checker
3. Integration with our ESP
4. Fewer email previews are available
5. Apple Mail Privacy features

I would recommend Litmus to anyone who works with email templates and is sending emails regularly to customers/clients. With Litmus, you know that what you're sending is exactly what the recipient will see in their inbox—no missing images, no messed up text layouts, no important information cut off. The analytics features are also great for anyone who is measuring the impact of email sends and wants to dig into it further. It's incredibly powerful at showing how impactful an email is and helps you to improve your emails further by showing what works for your audience/what doesn't.

Using Litmus

2 - We mainly just need someone to monitor users in the account, the rest of the platform doesn't need much in house support. Everything in the platform is super easy to use. Also, the support from Litmus themselves is really good quality.

Yes - We previously used Email on Acid but Litmus offered more previews and also had more features.
