Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

LogicMonitor is currently being use for our enterprise clients that need detailed metrics, monitoring, and maintaining a SLA. LogicMonitor delivers on all aforementioned fronts and many more. Been using LogicMonitor for a few years now and have recommended the product to many folks over the years, I find its the best tool in our MSP toolset.
  • Metrics, Datasources pull detailed data about many metrics that you wouldn't even think about monitoring.
  • Historical Data, metrics go back into time well into a year
  • Dashboards, convenient ways to show non-technical users (management) value of using the tool
  • Flexible Alerting, can have you alerts: SMS, Call, email, etc, at whatever time conditions of your choice
  • GUI updates are sometimes disjointed and step backwards
  • Documentation is not the most friendly for someone new to the product
  • Less time spent on troubleshooting
Automate wasn't a dedicated monitoring tool so its not a fair comparison to LogicMonitor. Automate was more of a RMM tool with monitoring built in vs LogicMonitor's dedication to monitoring.
Chat support is quick and responsive and not hidden behind a long form to fill out. Very easy to work with support.
At the moment roughly 3000 devices and 250 cloud devices are being monitored. Most devices are in the US across multiple states.
Deploying LogicMonitor is generally as simple as installing a collector. There are some nuances like you have to have a Windows Collector if you want to monitor Windows device (WMI calls are made). After the collector is deployed you have to run through a wizard from the web gui.
LogicMonitor offers better visibility into device performance than any other tool we have used and thus has saved time on troubleshooting. For things LogicMonitor doesn't monitor out of the box, we can build ourselves and add to LogicMonitor.
Monitoring/Alerting is the bread and butter of LogicMonitor. I also find the detail the datasources provide help me troubleshoot faster than any other product I've used.
