Mailchimp is Magic
Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
Not only does my company use Mailchimp for our own email communications, but we also help manage and consult on its use by our clients. Its user-friendly and simple yet powerful features make it our first choice for email marketing. It also has an easy to use API and integrates seamlessly in our clients' Craft CMS websites.
Pros
- Easy to use interface
- Simple visual editing
- Flexible interface for integrations
Cons
- Recently added features like the website builder are less useful
- Segmenting email lists can be confusing to users at first
- Saves marketing time and resources
- Easy to link results directly to revenue generated for ecommerce sites
Mailchimp has a simpler, easier to use interface for those with less technical expertise.
The fewer platforms, the easier to manage. I haven't personally used or worked with clients who are using the full set of Mailchimp's features, but I can see how it would be convenient for a small business wanting one easy place to manage everything. It's not suited for clients with more customized or complex website needs.
I love the feature that allows you to preview emails in different email clients. Outlook is notoriously bad at rendering emails, so it helps to be able to preview and eliminate problems ahead of time.
