Overall Satisfaction with Marketo
Right now, only the Marketing team is using Marketo, and we work with other departments to develop personalized campaigns. We are a relatively small business, and Marketo has really opened the conversation for workflow automation and cross-functional communication strategies. Marketo has also allowed us to show our Sales team by tracking the influence of our marketing campaigns.
- Tracking of digital efforts (website, email, social)
- Automated (triggered) campaigns
- Email program setup
- The built-in reports are very basic.
- User interface and program setup could be more intuitive.
- More proactive customer communication with example programs.
- Product Launches
- Upsell
- Cross-Sell
- Customer Service
- Lead Management
- Prospecting / New Business
From an automation perspective, we're hoping to increase retention rates by automating messages sent by Customer Service so they can give customers one-on-one time if it's needed. With retention, we also want to add value to our brand by sending messages with value add content. Within retention and acquisition, it's mainly an effort to see what is trending. Whether it be a specific piece of content, a specific channel, or a specific audience, Marketo helps us understand what's resonating with targets.
Marketo is super sophisticated in tracking digital marketing efforts in the marketing automation space. Even just using the website and email tracking, Marketo helps you analyze and prioritize automated (or not) campaigns. Its price point is relatively average for size and capability. Although it's user interface could use some improvement, it stacks a lot higher than most marketing automation platforms.
