Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Exchange

Microsoft Exchange is the default electronic mail server for any organization that is serious about doing business. It is used by my entire organization. But it is more than just a simple mail server. With the cost of Microsoft Exchange built into Office 365 for Business, you get the entire enterprise level email server for an extremely low bundle cost.
  • Great Admin Screen.
  • Bundled with Office 365.
  • You lose some admin control in new Office 365.
  • White listing email addresses seems to regress sometimes.
  • Email is required to do business.
  • Easy set up and integration.
Honestly, there are very few other enterprise-level email servers that I know about other than the basic gmail, yahoo, Hotmail, and just hosting it yourself. You either can get away with a very basic mail server, or your business needs true enterprise-level functions. If your business is at that level, you go to the next level and get Microsoft Exchange for the deep level of functionality.
Office 365 customer service (CS) is great. Past that, you can go on twitter for help, Slack, or Docs for Microsoft, the former Tech Net web site. They are quick to answer and they even follow up with you every day to make sure things go smoothly.

Do you think Microsoft Exchange delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Exchange's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Exchange live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Exchange go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Microsoft Exchange again?

Yes

Once you are past using all of the free/open source products out there, you move to Microsoft Exchange for your email needs. It just works seamlessly with all of your other office suite products. I would not be using it for a small organization where you do not purchase Office 365. It is too much overhead without the subscription model.
