Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Microsoft Teams as our corporate collaboration tool. Including video conferencing, chat, document sharing, discussion boards, and easy navigation into SharePoint.

Pros and Cons

Sound quality is fantastic
Video conferencing is impressive

It is challenging to understand initially how the Microsoft Teams structure works, as it does not map onto the business hierarchy.
If you have lots of chats, you can respond and not realize you are responding to a group and not an individual

Alternatives Considered

Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and Google Hangouts

Microsoft Teams was the successor to Skype for Business, so more of a forced upgrade. However, with O365, it is an integrated collaboration tool.

Support Rating

As of yesterday, it is the first time I have ever seen some global problems with Microsoft Teams. Otherwise, no problems.
