Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I brainstorm strategic direction and action plans with my clients to facilitate discussion between stakeholders and team members.

Pros

  • Text - people may not always be able to properly articulate their thoughts
  • Unique identifier for all participants, everyone can see whose mouse is moving
  • Good real-time whiteboard for collaboration and contribution of ideas

Cons

  • Locking on certain post-its in place
  • Allow assigning of tasks/notes/portions to specific individuals
  • Zoom in all viewers or focus on the same portion on behalf of all viewers to highlight points
  • More pointers brought out from typically non-participative members in discussions
  • Reduced group-think as everyone contributes in real time individually
  • Bring focus onto project initiatives and different priorities
Current logistics satisfy more on the internal implementation. For external stakeholders, there should be a better way to invite collaboration as there are a lot more use cases for such a situation.

It creates a safe space for people to contribute; despite the lack of people being anonymous, contributing in text does remove the barrier.
It can be used as a tool with google meets; for my organization which uses Google Meets as a meeting tool with clients, it is a very useful add-on.

Possible additional integrations could be being able to open file uploads internally within the Miro in the form of a pop-out, examples such as Excel, Word documents, and images.
Made it easier for all team members to contribute
Made it faster for ideas to be put across in text
Allows everyone on the team, regardless of geographic location, to contribute to the discussion
Has a timer to keep the discussion on track and to prioritise different topics of discussion

Yes

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

To facilitate discussions, especially in certain markets, really helps to resolve the issue of individuals being afraid to speak out in a group setting. It allows everyone to properly articulate their thoughts and bring their ideas to the discussion.

Able to set up topics in advance for discussions, good internal timer to keep the flow of discussion moving instead of being caught up on the same point.

A discussion summary can be exported to see the results of the discussions.
