Miro has become a condition of employment
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Business challenge: visualize and collaborate on complex context and questions in early stage projects (e.g. new business area, new business models, new products), where many things are not yet clear at all.
Pros
- many different possibilities to structure and classify elements (projects, boards, frames, objects, colors, different sizes, tags)
- have everything on 1 place (organization of work, collaboration, retro)
- easy to interact with different boards
- no limits adding content from almost everywhere
Cons
- classify (tags), sort and filter boards to keep order of many boards
- performance (especially boards with a bit more that some post-its)
- stability when working with mobile (with interruptions and/or low mobile network coverage)
- I've frequent troubles with kanban tool: when using line break within a task, it adds everytime another blank task
- templates that are adequate for presentation. I'm still one of these users that (have to) create a powerpoint to present an outcome (e.g. after a workshop with miro)
- It happens often, that users from different teams or companies don't have all rights of board (even when given via "share"). Common example is freezing frames.
- there is still the fear of data loss. Versioning and access to earlier versions (as e.g. Confluence) would be an advantage
- unfreeze several (but not all!) frames with one function would be helpful when restructuring the content of a board
- copy-paste of content from a board to another board of another team / company (is still not possible)
- chatgpt that writes a summary of the board ;-)
- Positive impact: improved productivity by 10%
- Positive impact: improved effectivity by 20%
Collaboration between company locations had become on equal footing. When working with Miro it doesn't matter, from where people work
