Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I work with clients in workshops to design change management programs, run hypercare tabletop sessions, and for sales opportunities to showcase our capabilities. Miro helps me change up the meeting format, visualize brainstorming and decisions, and gather input from teams.
  • Voting and timer helps me gather input from large teams in a short period of time
  • Ability to ask guests to populate post-it's and ideate, document topics that arise in discussion
  • Great at giving a large space to enable the articulation of large concepts and visually show the drill-down into separate areas
  • Limiting at times - it is very good to use during the ideation and brainstorming phase; harder to use when you're ready to truly present crisp, compelling "primetime" ideas to a large audience
  • Interactive in creation (text boxes, post-its, voting, etc.), difficult to build an immersive experience with interactive elements that "wow" people. Example: I would love to build an experience where I could "walk clients down a hall" and then have them choose their adventure from a few options - make it a themed, interactive experience when walking them between workshop topics and activities (e.g., have a spinning roulette wheel with a casino client, an elevator that stops at various floors for a hotel client, etc.).
  • In my opinion, the music is terrible - and the music clips are too short. Great idea, but in my opinion, it's apparent that Miro cheaped out on licensing. Very noticeable when the same 20 seconds loop over and over and over again - had to bring a client workshop to a standstill to fix because it was so distracting
  • Improved productivity - less meetings to get to the same outcomes
  • Enhanced teaming - team felt engaged and they were a part of the decision-making process
For the right use cases, it has brought our team together and enhanced our ability to ideate, co-create, and make decisions to move our team forward. It provided a fun and different experience, and helped build momentum early in programs.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

MURAL is very similar; while MURAL is easier to onboard new users to, Miro's functionality is better in fit for what I do and workshops I run. Jamboard is too limiting - better UX for the small use case it fits, and easier to use with low (technology) maturity users.
