NetSuite - All the way.
Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite
NetSuite is used across the whole organization. It is our ERP system for all the accounting and reporting as well as time reporting, expense reporting and project reporting.
Pros
- Advanced projects - works well to manage project reporting and comparisons to budgets
- Recurring revenue once set up is a tremendous time saver and helps to ensure completeness of revenue
- Consolidations and consolidated analysis is super easy
Cons
- Canadian sales tax on expense reports. Have to manually override when tax is not calculated exactly with the % charged.
- Making changes to recurring revenue is difficult.
- Changing departments as the business evolves is difficult depending if you want the history to move or not.
- Increase employee efficiency for processing employee expenses and vendor invoices
- Better visibility of results at any time.
- Workflow capabilities has increased productivity and decreased lost receipts
- QuickBooks Pro,Microsoft Dynamics NAV,Oracle Financials,Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management
More robust features and functionality than lower end packages and much cheaper than the high end solutions. It is well positioned at this price point. A cloud solution is more cost effective in the long run and speeds up time to implement.
NetSuite ERP Feature Ratings
Using NetSuite
60 - All areas of the business including Operations and R&D, Sales and Marketing and Finance and HR
NetSuite Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled - Involve all areas of the business in the initial conversations to purchase the software and then have the major areas involved in the implementation and training.
- Needed to implement quickly, so had to stay very focused
- Had to learn the software as we were implementing. Not enough time for training ahead of time.
