Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

We use NetSuite ERP to maintain our GL and as a single source of truth for our other tools that rely on GL data. As someone in the Finance org the tool provides us saved searches to export our data as well as a base for monthly reporting to our board.
  • NetSuite ERP makes hierarchy management easy
  • Getting data out of NetSuite ERP is relatively easy via saved search
  • Dunning notice module does a great job of automating customer payment notices
  • In my experience, editing reports can be difficult. Some things are more rigid than it needs to be and it can be difficult to move items around.
  • I've found navigation sometimes doesnt work via the search bar and it can be difficult to get to certain areas of the system.
  • NetSuite ERP has made certain month-end processes faster with easy hierarchy and GL account management
  • The saved search feature is a good way to get data out of the system and is flexible in how you can get to it (A lot of systems can automate this)
  • ACS hours can be useful if you have a couple of one off projects that need to be completed in the system.
NetSuite ERP it probably the best of the ERP systems I have used. Quickbooks is really intended for smaller companies and SAP for very large (though it is not very flexible and navigation of the system is a nightmare). Openbravo was probably the most flexible of the systems but it is not for everyone and requires a decent amount of man hours to get to a point that it makes sense. NetSuite ERP is "out of the box ready" (it still requires a decent implementation period in my opinion) and can be made to work for most orgs as long as you set it up with all of your issues and future growth in mind.

Do you think NetSuite ERP delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with NetSuite ERP's feature set?

Yes

Did NetSuite ERP live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of NetSuite ERP go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy NetSuite ERP again?

Yes

NetSuite ERP is a solid tool for the base accounting function but it needs to continue to evolve so it doesn't get left behind. It could work on its customizability but overall it does what it needs to make the GL work and produce repeatable results.
NetSuite ERP is a good scalable solution for organizations looking to move off quickbooks. There is no reason it can't be used in a larger organization it all just depends on how well the system is set up and how one off your needs are. If you are trying to report out of NetSuite ERP it can be difficult sometimes to get data in the format you need without getting to a full saved search, especially for items like Balance sheet and cash flow.
