Overall Satisfaction with Paycor

Paycor's Time and Attendance, Payroll, Onboarding and ACA modules have been used by our company in the last three years. All of our departments benefit from Paycor being our payroll vendor. We are very pleased with their quick responses to questions and implementation of new modules to help with new federal requirements. Paycor offers great solutions for businesses of all sizes!

Pros

  • Support Specialists are quick to respond and provide answers by email or phone call. They explain things very well and also have a sense of humor, which means they are real people and awesome to work with!!
  • Webinars are a great asset in helping prepare clients for upcoming federal changes. They are not a "hard sell" to purchase new products. If you are interested, they just ask you to let them know at the end of the webinar survey.
  • New products are developed as needed and updates to tweak current modules are done quarterly. Users can even impact tweaks by rating issues as they come up.

Cons

  • I'm not sure this is a con because every vendor is looking at their bottom-line but it can be difficult to implement a cost increase in the middle of the year with only three weeks notice. That said, they continue to be cost competitive.
  • It would be awesome if they would update the Payroll Manager leave request section. If an employee has multiple leave requests pending, it does not update to the new request(s) and is difficult to manage.
  • Our rep has promoted within the company, which is great. It would just be nice to know who our new rep is before we really need them for something. When we have new support specialists, they are great to let us know. It's just the umbrella account reps where this is a concern.
  • Positive impact on the ACA reporting requirement expenses. We were able to implement and have the forms delivered without a huge revision to our HR budget. That is a big benefit for us!
We moved from ADP because it was not user friendly for our employees or HR department. We met with three companies when we went out to bid. Paycor was the best fit for us! We have not regretted that decision since!
Paycor fits our company very well. I have recommended Paycor in the past and know of one other organization who has moved to Paycor for their payroll needs. They "get" how non-profits work!

Evaluating Paycor and Competitors

Yes - ADP Time and Attendance and Payroll were too difficult for our overall staff to use and was also difficult for our HR and Accounting staff to manage

Really think through your current processes. Some things need to be updated as you go through the implementation. That is really easier than making a change after the implementation is completed!

Rex with ACA Support totally walked me through implementation. When we ran across something he was not sure about, he always found the answer and responded back to me very quickly. This was a brand new product and we were one of the first organizations to use it. I highly recommend the product and Rex.

Overall it is really good. They are working on some tweaks that will hopefully enhance their current system.

  • Timing in and out for our employees
  • Managing leave in the payroll module
  • Submitting payroll
  • I have to manually remove leave accruals at year-end because we have a bi-weekly payroll. If they could figure out a way to work with that, it would be awesome.
  • Timing in and out via cell phone is an issue. I understand they are doing a update but to date, it is a problem.
  • Figuring out the leave in the Time & Attendance module is difficult for our staff.
