Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

Payroll: As a remote company with a distributed team, we need to deal with payroll in many jurisdictions. Rippling makes that simple. This is the actual reason we chose Rippling, the other value points were secondary. Employee onboarding: as a growing company, simplifying onboarding saves us time and provides a strong first impression for new hires. Rippling is best in class for this aspect.
  • payroll
  • onboarding
  • benefit selection
  • paying international contractors as seamlessly
  • offering wider integrated employee benefit solutions
  • positive impact - we process payroll faster and more accurately
  • positive impact - employs onboard in a much simpler manner
  • negative impact - none, except the cost of rippling
I did not do the evaluation. But ultimately we selected Rippling for two reasons: we found it to be simplest for paying distributed teams on W2 payroll is easily integrated with other software we use (Brex and Pilot)
never needed support so I cannot rate it

Do you think Rippling delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Rippling's feature set?

Yes

Did Rippling live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Rippling go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Rippling again?

Yes

its simple usability is its hallmark feature. This is true for onboarding, which is what the company highlights. But it is even more true for payroll. Making payroll simple across multiple jurisdictions is not easy, and they did it.
If you have a distributed team in the United States that you need to pay via W2 across various states and local jurisdictions, Rippling will make your life much simpler and ensure taxes are paid appropriately. If you are growing quickly and onboarding at high rates, Rippling simplifies that process. I do not think Rippling is worth the cost if you do not need to use it for distributed payroll. The other features are cool but add minimal real value beyond the cool factor.
