Overall Satisfaction with Webex Calling

Webex Calling was the program that we leveraged for all virtual calls throughout the company, prior to moving everything to MS Teams. Calls could range from large team meetings, 1:1s and collaboration sessions. Being a global team, this was used before the pandemic, but during covid, this product became integral to allowing business to keep moving along and we were already used to it.
  • Ability to join via phone in the event that you don't have internet connection
  • Providing call in numbers and local global numbers
  • Chat feature allows you to communicate with the whole group or just one member if needed.
  • Background options if you want to block out your real background
  • The ability to assign additional owners in case you can't be there to manage the call and its features (i.e., recording)
  • Easy to make updates to the settings of an already scheduled meeting.
  • Let's you know when someone has joined the call (makes a sound for each person)
  • It might be that we didn't have this package, but transcription capabilities were not included.
  • Sometimes, using Webex Calling would make my computer and other programs run slow
  • If screens were being shared, it required a lot of bandwidth and sometimes froze or glitched.
  • Webex Calling allowed us to continue working in a remote world
  • While workshops are best in person, Webex Calling allowed us to continue offering that critical service and also included break out room functionality for small group activities, when needed.
  • The recording feature allows everyone to hyper focus on the discussion - if anything was missed in notes, it was always saved in the recording when we had one. Perfect for interviews and workshops.
I don't believe I was using any other Cisco products in conjunction with Webex Calling. Outside of the virtual calls, my role predominantly has me leveraging MS Office and Design tools.
Webex Calling provided me and my teammates with a secure and reliable space to continue doing our work in a remote setting. One flexible feature that I really loved was the ability to call in via phone. During periods of unreliable internet connection, I was still able to partake in important discussions with my team so long as I had cell service.
Our company predominantly uses MS Office. Due the integration capabilities we have recently shifted to only being offered Teams Calling. The integrations are convenient, but Teams didn't initially have the call-in ability. Even now, the Teams experience for calling in feels clunkier than Webex Calling, especially when I am using the app from my phone. I also liked that Webex Calling let me know when someone new joined the meeting - I have been surprised by many people on a Teams call. If I am not looking at the screen, there is no sound indicator that someone has joined.

I thought Webex Calling was an appropriate tool for any virtual conversations that needed to be had, especially during the pandemic when everything shifted to the virtual space. Webex Calling is what enabled us to continue running workshops with client groups when we couldn't be in a physical location.
