It is much better to prospect brands and find appropriate contacts at a parent account, and not such a strong suit for agencies.

I think InsideView works well for a bigger sales team. I think a key questions are: How many reps? How many people company wide will use the tool? What information do you hope to gain from the tool? Do you use a CRM? If so, which one?

The data is more current than any other product. The daily updates are a huge bonus. It integrates with our existing CRM system. It also ties in to Facebook and Twitter.

Alternatives Considered

Winmo allows more dynamic and functional searches, and puts agency and brand contacts in one place. It also allows exports based on spend and in general, is much more dynamic of a software.

The integrated version of InsideView worked really well from a business development standpoint as I never hadn’t to leave my CRM and worry about getting approval to upload a list or risk uploading duplicates.

From a management standpoint it reduced the amount of vendors you had to invest in to get data and made it self service for the reps which saved time and effort getting contacts into the system.

  • InsideView is a great tool to have and we are really happy to have it at our fingertips. I am happy that I have the ability to look up company information when I need to right away with no problems and for the most part it is right there available.
  • Many times I have said that the negative feedback I have is the contact information so that is what I have to say about it.
