I think Azendoo is suited well to small office tracking projects and tasks together. The shared projects/calendar use is helpful and can make work easier if everyone uses it in a similar manner. The ability to add things from other sources (Dropbox, Evernote, etc) does make it a useful platform because you can integrate other things into the app well. The visibility and shared spaces provide good accountability and follow up for work being done.

Clarizen got the job done with time tracking and expense reports, but it didn't do enough to make our organization continue using it. We ended up switching because the key stakeholders (resource management) were unhappy with its offerings. This might be a good fit for smaller organizations that require less feature and capabilities. Instead, our company switched to OpenAir, which has more robust time tracking, expense reports, and PTO accrual and monitoring programs.

- Software Updates - The azendoo interface is constantly being updated with new features which are helpful to our organization. For example, they just rolled out the ability to assign subtasks, so that we don't have to manually update the assignee on each step of a large, multi-step task.
- Email Notifications - azendoo provides complete customization over the amount of notification emails you receive. Some of us prefer to be emailed with each update made within a task, whereas others prefer just a once-daily notification email.
- Levels of organization - azendoo provides many tiers of structure within the platform, making it easy for us to layer levels of detail for a single project. For example, at the workspace level we can define where our teams "live" on azendoo, and at the subject level we can categorize projects for tracking purposes. With the new addition of subtasks, we now have an additional layer of organization which helps us keep track of where a task is at in its lifecycle.

- Highly customizable, can develop organization specific workflows, modules, etc.
- Interface (in most instances) is easy to use. Timesheets, project details, and report modules are fairly easy to navigate and understand.
- Good comms tools like discussions, group pages, automatic reminders and notifications.

azendoo
- Despite being integrated with Google Calendar, this integration presents some inconveniences, so working with them together is not very convenient.
- It requires fairly stable internet access to avoid a slow connection with your platform.
- When performing searches, it must be done within the limit of work since otherwise no results are found.
- Its cost can be high but I think it's worth it.
- It is necessary to introduce it to the team slowly so that they can adapt to the software and thus get the most out of it.

- Export: I'm not wild about the export options. We created a custom project plan formatter to turn the ugly export in CSV to a customer facing color coded PDF. It's not super easy to give your customers something pretty to look at (although they do offer PPTs)
- Gantt Charts: All I want in life is a nice little high level set of milestones to pop into a slide I'm showing to a steering committee. It's just not something the system does. I've just had to screen shot a hard to read gantt from the system or recreate in PPT or Visio. No fun
- Speed: I am not sure what's going on here but Clarizen can be pretty slow to update small changes to project plans. It's rough when you have a laundry list of changes to make but the system is waiting

I give my renewal of this product a 9. It's only because we never know what product may come out next and how other factors in our office political environment may cause impact upon this. If I always had my way, this is what we'd settle on as our de facto project management system.

It is easy to configure, intuitive. The customization process is in some ways better than Salesforce.com. It has a great UI. It does however depend on how it's implemented.
The design of it is generally fine, however the ability to data upload people from a spreadsheet is an obvious miss.

It's a good experience overall. Clarizen was useful when needed. It's mostly needed for advice on how to do more sophisticated actions or how to change something that was set up administratively. It's seldom used otherwise. The product consistently works, the documentation is acceptable, and the generally intuitive product is easy enough for most staff to pick up without much issue.

• We worked with a Project Manager on their side. He was very good about developing a project plan to hit our goal. I think we had weekly or twice weekly calls – very steady cadence over 3 month period.
• Their PM skills were great – kept us on task. For the last week, they sent 2 people on site and they did training for power users. After that a couple of them revisited here

Our trainer, Alex, is exceptional and knows the product really well. I swear he must have wrote the product himself! His manner with training is very easy going, gives you homework that is applicable to what you need to learn and stages it correctly for you. It was a pleasure to be trained by him.

I performed the implementation with our Clarizen provide trainer, who knew the product 100% and it went quickly and without a problem. It was a pleasurable process without the problems other software implementation often encounter. Kudos to the Clarizen team for making this a worry free process for their clients because it is worry free.

azendoo is a different tool, meant for a different project type. While it's a good program on its own, Evernote ultimately had all I needed as a single employee/student is the only person within my workspaces. I did not need to network and as such, I did not find it applicable. Later down the road in a shared office, I might feel differently.

There were several others I reviewed that I can no longer remember but none of them compared to Clarizen when it came to flexibility. Many factors sold us on Clarizen but most importantly it was that Clarizen was capable of wrapping itself around our existing processes instead of us changing to to meet the software tool. With that said, we are now looking at changing some of our processes due to the fact that Clarizen is such a powerful tool!

- azendoo's integration with Google Drive has been valuable to our organization, as we are heavy users of Drive. We've been able to seamlessly attach documents to tasks which has been very helpful from a collaboration perspective.
- Training new team members - It's relatively easy to get new team members up-to-speed on what's going on in the department, as they can just log into azendoo and catch up on all of our existing projects and things coming down the pipeline.
- App - azendoo's mobile app has been great for keeping up with progress on items while many of us are out of office or working away from the office. The app has a great user experience and is much easier than keeping tabs via email.

- Great customer feedback related to real-time availabilty of project status. We could tailor gant charts to various customers within an organization fairly quickly.
- Seeing real-time breakdown of costs and time for projects was great. The main page with summary charts was a great way to get information at a glance.
- Clarizen use definitely helped us stream-line project planning and assisted with identifying bottlenecks.
- We run many projects in parallel with similar timepoints (pre-, interim-, and post-). The software was pretty straight forward, permitting us to create one project outline then dupiclating it (as a template) for a number of others.
