Likelihood to Recommend Cvent Passkey is a great tool for large events using multiple hotels. It allows attendees the ability to see inventory in real-time and place reservations. Since it is accessible 24/7 not only can attendees place reservations at their convenience but planners are also able to check pick-up and or run reports when their schedule allows.
Read full review In my experience, there has not been a resolution on outstanding tickets opened two years ago during the initial implementation. Simple things like time reporting, creating buttons, and marking items as "unavailable" have issues. The system has a lag when servers log out of checks that prevents them from opening the checks on another terminal without a wait that feels like an eternity in the restaurant industry and with direct impact to the guest. Good luck calling support. Most of my experience involves the person I spoke with having no idea how to fix my issue and having to "escalate the ticket." This escalation process will last weeks, months, and in our case, years with no resolution.
Read full review Pros Streamline the rooming list process Gives clients 24 hour access to their rooming lists Gives time back to vendors from not having to send updated rooming lists Read full review Real time sales Real time labor costs Integration with account software Read full review Cons The support center for administrators (GroupMax) and the dashboard could be better. Good for beginnings, but there is a lack of detail for more advanced users. The process of building a booking site could be easier/more streamlined. We sometimes have to hunt around to find where to edit information. Read full review Support is awful. Oracle does not directly support end-users and depends on resellers to offer support. So if there is a bug or breaking change, we have to jump through hoops to get something fixed. Does not play well with other software or interfaces. There are interfaces but they lack a serious amount of features that are crucial to our business. The guest facing hardware does not hold up to constant use very well. The backend hardware is lacking in PCI compliance and is not meant for enterprise use. The software itself looks as if it is stuck in the early 2000s and there has been no sign of an update in many years. Reporting is difficult to set up and use and you have to rely on third-party reporting to get decent usable reports. Matthew James Junior Systems Administrator | POS Programming Specialist
Read full review Usability I think it could be improved upon slightly, a little more intuitive and user friendly, but generally speaking, it’s already pretty good
Read full review Support Rating I have not had any issues with Passkey where I needed help from the support team. The Cvent Community has been a great spot to ask questions regarding Passkey and get the answers that I needed. I think that Cvent Community has hundreds of people that have had years of experience using these different products and when I have questions, they have usually been asked in the past.
Read full review Alternatives Considered We haven't used any other options. We used to manage everything manually, which sucked up hundreds of hours of our employee's time and cause frustrations among some of our high profile clients who wanted to make their bookings or manage their trip on their own off-hours time instead of having to reach our employees during booking hours. They are then also able to edit their reservation and receive confirmation numbers without having to go through us. With all of the GDPR issues occurring, it's also solving a lot of trouble of collecting information and properly managing it.
Read full review We've stayed with MICROS mainly due to that's how we've always operated and to switch operating POS systems would be a HUGE learning curve for everyone involved.
Read full review Return on Investment Positive ROI: Credit Card information is easily collected for the hotel. Negative ROI: It was harder for us planners to track the changes. Read full review Micros has allowed us to leverage our margin by using our own credit processor and loyalty program. We've seen success from both of these platforms (not Micros) and have been able to save money on the extra costs of using Micros. Read full review ScreenShots Cvent Passkey Screenshots
