SAP SuccessFactors is a suite of HR/HCM products covering these capability areas: core HR and payroll, recruiting and onboarding, learning and development, performance and compensation management, workforce analytics and planning, and employee experience management.
For organizations that are mostly based out of EMEA, SAP SuccessFactors is better at covering all the details about labor laws and employment management. But for organizations - mid to large - that span both NA and EMEA, Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is much better both in support …
So the major part its easy and integration via SAP S4/Hana. Exceptional customer support and best practices that SAP SuccessFactors best fit for all. User touch base module as well as support HR team to achieve strategic level goals and provide better insight. Even employees …
I used the other platforms at a different employer. I think that SAP SuccessFactors needs to put more effort into the user experience and also to have the various components function more like a single platform.
Compared to Oracle HCM Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors offered a more flexible and configurable solution allowing our organization to meet complex requirements.
I feel SAP SuccessFactors is catching up on the user interface and the flexibility that is available to configure and manage business processes. You can tell that SAP SuccessFactors is making a strong push to bring SAP forward from the very technical look and feel of legacy …
I think SF stacks up well with the other products I have used in the past. SF provides the complete solution for HRIS instead of using multiple products that do not integrate as well as SF. The downside is the other products can be more specialized and have additional features …
I have used WorkDay, Infor, ADP, Kronos, SilkRoad, Cornerstone and many other smaller platforms. None are nearly as bad as SAP at customer service. Trying to find something on their support site is like trying to find a needle in haystack. Trying to get a support representative …

SF has better integration with SAP, our primary ERP platform. It has support for data hierarchies such as positions, roles and work centers that mirror our primary ERP tool. SF also has support for a lot of external tools across multiple geographical areas and easy to manage …
Compared to UltiPro (my current company's software) SuccessFactors is much easier and more efficient. SuccessFactors customer service is better and goes above and beyond others. I think that SuccessFactors also does a great job keeping up to date and being new and innovative …
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is great for tracking most HR related information. The customization for the company is great, as well as the ability to integrate with a wide variety of complimentary software. For example, ours is integrated with our ATS (Taleo) for recruiting, Kronos for timekeeping, and Vemo for workforce insight reports. Given it's overall ability, it is probably overkill for smaller companies that may want a more focused HRIS that can handle everything without the need to integrate with additional software.
SAP SuccessFactors works great for big companies, over 5 thousand employees to ballpark a number. For smaller businesses, I am not sure if the cost is worth it or ideal for them. Succession tracking is a great experience. I have a need to ease the tracking of performance for operators in the system, and based on SAP SuccessFactors' design, I am not able to accommodate a very antic and classic performance appraisal approach.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is one of the best product and has helped implement the complex Business functionalities in the Higher Education business in a very streamlined process.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM helped in moving from 34 different legacy system to one centralized system which helps immensely in maintaining the data and reporting purpose.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM also helps immensely in data analytics and trend analysis which helps immensely in preparing for the resourcing and planning for the peak season in advance and be better prepared to handle the quarterly on annual activities.
We have issues with students using Time & Labor for multiple jobs, where time is incorrectly calculated, including negative balances where none exist.
The application is complex and some areas, especially Time & Labor, are very difficult to troubleshoot. The overall level of complexity has increased over the years.
We also use Campus Solutions and had to split apart HCM and CS, significantly increasing our maintenance overhead and creating inter-system issues that aren't always resolvable.
Campus Solutions has developed a solution for managing preferred names and gender identity that is missing/ incompatible with the HCM product.
The whole software is not user friendly from and admin side.
A lot of our problems have stemmed from our implementation partner not having the knowledge and experience we needed.
Updates to the system have been made and it’s affected too many entities in our learning module. Settings to previous uploads needed to be changed, the previous settings applied did not work the same, etc. constant updates are needed.
PeopleSoft HCM has provided a very flexible platform for our HR needs. The ability to add customizations to handle some of our unique business processes have been critical in the longevity of our PS HCM use. We've been able to handle a wide variety of business processes for multiple subsidiaries due to the ability to customize when needed.
We have put a vast amount of time and effort into our installation- and there is more work to be done, but the system has a lot of benefits that we plan to maximize and optimize in order to generate the greatest value for everyone involved
Oracle HCM has been around for more thab a decade and is a preferred package to use for Human capital management.Ease with which upgrades happen and how updates are pushed has come thru a long way of improvement and research over the years.Oracle has moved toward cloud based architecture which will help in its customers keep at par with current industry trends.
SSFF is very user friendly and intuitive even for a non tech employee. Also, there´s a complete database and community where we can find solution to common and uncommon issues
I give this rating because we have had no issues in the area of the product's overall availability. In my opinion the resources are there when we need them and the features serve the purpose they are set to do. I feel things have gone really well as far as the availability of the product.
Until now we have not had serious availability problems with SuccessFactors, we had Microsoft Active Directory and SSO with ADFS and we had availability problems but because of problems with ADFS, we migrated to Azure AD and with that the availability problems of SuccessFactors because of ADFS went away. The only windows of unavailability that we have had are those that we are communicated to do maintenance and upgrades.
I give this rating because I don't have any complaints in the area of performance. In my opinion the product's performance is right on the mark. In comparison to other systems I have used for the same purpose - recruiting, hiring and managing hires, I have found Oracle's performance to be the best. Oracle system flows better than any other recruiting system out there.
The performance is very good, the truth is that we have not had serious performance problems, some complex reports may take a little longer, but considering the complexity and the amount of records it is an acceptable time. We have never received a complaint from users regarding page loading speed.
Overall support has been positive and Oracle has gladly sent out representatives to meet with our teams in person. Despite sometimes sow and inadequate fixes, their willingness to try and meet face to face helps give them a better name in our organization. Sometimes their people do not understand unique needs of the industry, and it can be a challenge to explain that one size does not fit all. Finding the appropriate IT support for our unique requests has been hit and miss.
SuccessFactors Employee Central gets a middle of the road rating from me because of the things it does really well - Training. It falls short with the objectives cascade and visibility amongst my reports. That's what brings it down to a 5. Objectives need to be clear and concise in order to gain buy-in from your reports, and SuccessFactors muddies that by poor delineation between cascaded attributes and my report's objectives. The whole objectives cascade can be reworked.
The in-person training was with a consultancy, we have taken several courses, all very specific. They have been reports in ecp, general configuration of ec, reports and IAS
It was a great training tool and provided all of the necessary information we needed to implement the sites for our clients. We were provided with a great deal of resources in regards to Oracle CRM. We didn't have any issues with the training at all. The only thing I would say would that there could be more FAQ's for users to read through
We use SAP Learning, and we like it very much, the topics are updated along with the products, we have access to the SFX customer certifications and we have done them all, in general the SAP learning platform is very good and complete.
When we implement Oracle and Taleo to different clients it typically goes pretty smoothly. When we do system upgrades we usually test the main issues the clients are having just to make sure there are not outstanding issues or errors. I don't have any examples where implementation went poorly. It typically goes well and clients are pleased with the final result. The only complaint would be the time it takes to implement
As we were new with all this, we would greatly appreciate if we had assitance directly from SAP so we can implement the modules with all of its features and best practices. Unfortunately, we notice that the partner left some thing incomplete.
Great features that are aesthetically amazing and provide trendy reporting features to gain insights, but lacks a fully developed product. They constantly deliver new features and tools and will be fully rounded in a few years from now, but as of now, they do not have all the features that PeopleSoft provides.
The recruiting module is much more user friendly than our prior system that was Taleo. Taleo had to many actions that required the recruiters to go from one system to another. We tracked that there were 117 steps that the recruiter had to make from beginning of req to its completion.
In my opinion I rate this high because we have had no issues in this area and so that is why I give it such a high rating. There is no issue with the product's overall scalability. In my opinion this has been a positive from my team and client's view.
The scalability and flexibility of SuccessFactors is unbeatable. It is very easy to scale the product to new countries and areas, and with the help of CPI it can be easily integrated.
We did use this service to do analysis of the solution being implemented. It was a good check point during the project to see if everything is going as planned.
PeopleSoft helps us when we have re-orgs or acquisitions. Helps to house and organize data.
Very positive impact given that we have over 13,000 employees and we need a robust system like PeopleSoft to organize our employees and multiple locations and unions, etc...
As my project was using SAP ECC system for ERP, SuccessFactors was well integrated with the overall project as a whole due to its compatibility being a SAP product.
As I have have highlighted multiple time, using SAP Analytics Cloud, we built multiple reports with help of the analytics team that presented detailed visualizations of the available HCM data
