Conductor is used for a variety of things including keyword research, tracking ranking over time, and SEO. It's used heavily in the digital marketing team and helps us keep track of our keyword rankings.
  • Easy comparison between your and your competitors' keywords.
  • Generating reports is fast and simple.
  • Analytics enable you to track how you're ranking overtime.
  • Mobile app is a plus.
  • Customer service is top class.
  • Naming convention is a unintuitive.
Conductor saves a lot of time in terms of reporting. You can set up a custom report with a specific frequency for automatic generation.

It is used by the Inbound Marketing department to monitor and report on organic search performance and to identify opportunities to optimize and improve clients websites
  • Does a good job at providing recommendations that we can use as a starting point for website optimizations.
  • Integrates with our analytics and GSC to provide our team insights in one place. Analytics access here is stingy so its useful for us to at least get an idea of traffic coming to the site, etc.
  • The user experience of this tool is much better than our old one, and the live support is incredible.
  • Would like Domain Explorer to be able to be utilized on a page level basis. Diving down into detail is very important and getting domain wide data doesn't help as much as page level would.
  • I don't find the link center particularly helpful so expanding or improving this tool to be more helpful in generating insights would be great.
  • Its tough to tie organic search success to dollars generated. Developing a tool to better help tell that story or tie it into business cases would be great.
This tool is incredible for reporting the what, and it can help with the why. It does a good job at helping you identify what content is driving traffic and the keywords you've associated those pages with. I find that extremely helpful when reporting to clients. Tying dollars into the story would be great to have, but that is a challenge industry wide.

At the moment Conductor is used only by my team. We are SEO experts and deliver recommendations to our client.
This software is very useful, it helps us to solve SEO related problems including:
- keywords ranking (it check keywords ranking each week and save historic data)
- content optimization
- competitive analysis (check how our competitors perform for tracked keywords and helps us to find new ones we can index)
  • Keywords Ranking
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Content Optimization
  • Inbound links analysis
  • Deeper integration with Deepcrawl
  • AMP pages tracking
Conductor is well suited for scenarios where organic traffic and organic optimization are involved.
It helps to measure how we are performing and also helps us to better find new topics for content optimizations.
This tool is not appropriate to track paid and social results (SEM, media), this tool is well suited only for SEO topics.

1. Tracking of organic search rankings against competitors
2. SEO recommendations to improve search rankings
3. Reporting of organic search metrics
  • Finding recommendations to improve search rankings is easy
  • Exporting reports
  • Competitive analysis
  • Limitations on how many metrics you can add per workspace. Should be unlimited.
  • Date ranges for comparison reports is always one week. We'd like to be able to customize date ranges for reports.
Conductor is well suited for keyword tracking and competitive analysis. Their keyword optimization recommendations are relevant to your industry. They allow you to set filters to remove non-relevant keywords which keeps us focused on the important search terms.

We utilize Conductor to monitor and improve our organic search performance.
  • Competitive analysis and market share reporting
  • Provides actionable suggestions for improvement
  • Provides a wealth of data pertaining to keyword rank as well as performance trends
  • Easy-to-use interface with how-to suggestions baked in
  • It isn't cheap
  • It doesn't cover technical SEO but it does have a nice integration with DeepCrawl
Conductor is well suited for understanding your target keyword ranks, your competitive market share, and your on-page optimization opportunities. Conductor also has modules for content marketing and link building. It is less appropriate for technical SEO unless you also include the DeepCrawl integration, which works really nicely.

Conductor allows us to keep track of client keywords, anywhere they rank. More importantly, it allows us to make recommendations to improve our clients' organic rankings, resulting in more visits, and ultimately more revenue. I utilize this tracking for a number of clients, and prospective clients to provide weekly recommendations and improvements to their sites.
  • Keyword Tracking
  • Page Rankings
  • Content ideas
  • Link tracking
  • Keyword discovery
  • Page ranking for keywords not tracked
Conductor has a great user interface. It separates each individual part of an enterprise level keyword tracker into its own tool, allowing a novice SEO to glean important insights while allowing pro users to get to even more granular data. Actionable insights and reporting are found throughout the tool, and really help push client programs forward.

The tool is used by the online customer experience team (marketing department) to measure the impact of our SEO strategy and adjust it accordingly, using data to back up our decisions - now starting to be used also by the content team in the same department for keyword research and content performance tracking.
  • Keyword rank trends - useful to keep track of the rank history of a keyword
  • Audience intent explorer - particularly useful to find long tail keywords
  • Categories and segments - extremely useful to group pages and keywords into clusters
  • Technical SEO - recommendations are still too general and only about on-page factors
  • Backlinks - would love a comprehensive backlink audit tool
Particularly suited for content creation and content strategy, performance tracking and identification of pages cannibalization. Less suited for technical SEO and link building.

Conductor is the main tool we are using both in SEA and SEO to prioritize our work on keywords we should be focused on. The tool is being deployed both in search engine teams, and offers teams, in order to maximise our work around keywords. According to last figures, this has had a nice impact on our performances.
  • Tells you really fast what words you should be focused on.
  • The user interface is really easy to handle, even when you don't work in IT.
  • Results can be exported fast and you can share with colleagues in a couple of clicks.
  • Search console integration could be really useful in Conductor.
  • The way featured snippets are displayed using answer boxes.
  • Profiles by users (limit the access to certain types of reports in our different teams).
Conductor works really well on keyword position in our SEO strategy, it's really helping us out. On the contrary, in the paid search area, there are a lot of improvements that can be made, for example, you can't export reports at the moment, and the crawl frequency seems to be too slow (once a week, when twice a week could be really beneficial).

We use it for SEO strategy and research across a multi-national team. I manage content for 4 countries, and so I primarily use Conductor to see what's working for my peers in the US team, to see how our strategy is performing in each locale, and to do localised competitor analysis.
  • I like that I can do easy competitor research on more than one competitor. Extra handy is that I can tag competitors as SEO or business, so it's easier to see.
  • Their chat help is solid. I've needed to use it a few times and their responses are thorough. They also send along extra info at the end concerning your problem for extra context and email you the correspondence in case you need it for later.
  • My favourite thing is the insight stream. It takes all the important things you want to know about how you're performing and packs it into one view. I also like that I can pin them or message someone on my team about what is appearing.
  • I still feel a bit confused about how to build a report based on specific keywords, like for a campaign. I know we went through it in training, but when I did it myself it was more difficult than I remembered. Maybe it would be good to ask teams to think of a campaign or report they'd like to build before that training and actually build it in the training.
  • The names are confusing. I know it's probably hard to fix them, but I can never remember which thing does what.
  • We'd like better reporting about knowledge boxes. I know we can see basics, but giving tips for how to optimise, and combining reports for a more comprehensive view would be good. I believe we already gave this feedback to an account manager. (This is more my manager's feedback than mine so I don't know all the ins and outs)
I used it a lot when I wanted to build a content campaign to see where our gaps internally were and where we could most easily get to the first page. That was great because I was able to easily export everything and send it to an agency.

I'm the only one in the organization that uses is. I use it to optimize new pages we build and make older pages better. I use it to find recommendations for pages that are already online, track the success of pages once they're live/updated, and find ideas for future use.
  • It's very easy for me to make sense of the data that's presented, and filter it the way I want to.
  • I like the weekly reporting that's automatically emailed to me.
  • I wish that I could remove recommendations that aren't relevant to me or that I don't want to do. The recommendations tend to get cluttered and hard to sort through because of that.
It's great to find ideas to better optimize pages and track the success of those pages after they're launched.

Conductor is our main enterprise SEO tool we use when providing SEO consulting and content marketing services to our clients. My department uses it for reporting and pulling insights that help drive recommendations. We also use other paid SEO tools like Moz, ScreamingFrog, SEMrush, and some local SEO tools (here's a full list http://www.blendseo.com/favorite-seo-tools-consulting-agency/). But these others are used more in-between and as needed for specific tasks. Conductor is our main tool in which we setup each SEO retainer client for gathering data, creating & delivering reporting and digging for insights.
  • Reporting is the biggest area where Conductor really stands out. One of the reasons I chose this tool over others is that reporting comes with templates designed for people at various business roles. From an SEO agency perspective, I get a more productive relationship with my clients if more areas of their business understand how SEO aligns with their goals. Conductor also pulls data from sources that are troublesome for our Business Intelligence department, which creates channel integrated reports for our clients.
  • Data and insights are very important for providing SEO services. I have a huge variety of SEO tools and browser plugins at hand. But Conductor is valuable in that it provides connections between keywords, typical SEO KPIs and content performance. Other SEO enterprise tools like Searchmetrics and BrightEdge (and maybe Moz if you want to include it here) also provide meaningful insights and recommendations. But Conductor is easily competitive and holds its own here. I'm really excited about enabling Google Search Console integration, since up until now we have been pulling this data into spreadsheets with a free API that is only supported by a single unpaid person.
  • Conductor's content mapping is a really cool way to conceptualize content marketing. I love how it gives a visual representation of the customer journey and enables you to apply KPIs to each - giving you a clear idea of the business value of content and how well it performs across each stage of the journey and segment of customers.
  • Customer support is done really well by Conductor. This is a big area of difference I noticed right away during the evaluation stage between Conductor and my previous enterprise SEO tool. The Conductor team has jumped in and created reports for me numerous times. They don't hound me when it is time to renew the contract. Chat help is really helpful in solving problems.
  • Creating content maps and assigning pages to each segment is difficult. I would like to see more options in ways to associate a page with a segment. For example, allow a custom field to search for something in the code. This way, we could create a custom tag or even pull a visual element off the page that determines which segment the page belongs.
  • When looking at rankings, I'd like to be able to quickly see historic trends for a keyword. Currently, it's a little cumbersome to get this -- takes multiple clicks and waiting for the page to load each time.
  • I don't get much out of Conductor's backlink reporting. When I need this, I go straight to Majestic. Whether its to dig into backlinks or basic overview reporting, I go straight to Majestic and export data.
Conductor is an enterprise SEO tool. It is appropriate for a business that has the budget to invest in SEO at a corporate level -- something like $5K-$10K monthly (whether in house or with an agency). Automated reports can be provided to different roles within the business. Conductor can also support this business for ongoing SEO as its sophistication matures. After a website has completed a first phase of basic overall SEO, Conductor does a good job at providing insights for analyzing and creating strategy around individual target keyword rankings against multiple competitors.

A small or medium business that is not willing to spend as much on their SEO investment and has fewer decision makers can likely make due with a single in-house SEO expert or contractor who can spend more time using a compilation of tools to pull insights and reports. With fewer decision makers, there is less need for custom reports. The SEO staff can then take time to explain more about what is happening face to face rather than up front training and emailing reports.

We use Conductor for our main keyword research and tracking tool. We also use it to gain insights into how we can improve rankings on individual pages/blogs, and a bit of competitive intel. I would like to use their journey mapping tool to do a content audit, but haven't had time yet or prioritized it.
  • Keyword research and competitive intel.
  • Making suggestions on how to improve SEO (the insight stream is incredible! Every tool should have this!)
  • Their customer success team and helpful content is AWESOME.
  • The UX and naming of features is a bit confusing/tough to learn at first--especially if you're a content person and not in the product every day. They are working on an interface for content people vs. SEOs, which could be helpful (Note: I haven't checked it out yet).
  • Set up of all their best tools features can be a bit tough/time consuming at first. They do have great workflows, but it can be a bit overwhelming and hard to get done.
  • Some of the insights (while they're really helpful as a feature!) aren't always the best for us. You have to double-check some of the page level recommendations. We're B2B, and the suggestions actually put us in competition with B2C pages, which we're not interested in currently.
I think if you're in an industry with lots of competition and you have a good sized content team, this is one of the more robust/better tools on the market that will suit your needs. Even more so if you're in retail and have a dedicated SEO team.

We use Conductor in Marketing department to do market research for new products and to keep track of our current Organic Search performance. We also use it to get keywords for weekly content planning and focus on those "striking distance" keyword to get results (increase in traffic) with least effort. Condutor is good for analyzing current standing on website in Organic search VS major competitors and historical trends of Organic traffic and positions.
  • Great for tracking predefined list of keywords and their historical trend.
  • Also, it's good for finding adjacent keywords for major product keywords through Audience Intent Explorer.
  • Keyword grouping in another great feature, which allows to see how positions for groups of keywords are changing over time.
  • Great UI and very intuitive navigation.
  • One of the biggest pain points is lack of good backlink explorer to check backlinks of competitors.
  • Search volumes for long tail keywords are not always correct (i.e. do not match numbers in Google Keyword Tool).
  • The price is to high, there are lot's of tools that would provide similar value for 1/15th of the price.
Great for keyword tracking and research. Also, Conductor is good for tracking content performance and keyword opportunities. I like the automation of reporting with custom reports that can be send to everyone in the team on a regular basis, as well as automated high level insights.
One scenario where Conductor is not that great, is when you want to look at a list of backlinks of your competitor and how their profile changed over time.

We use Conductor for competitive analysis, content guidance and opportunities, content and organic search performance, and education internally towards decision making. It is used exclusively by marketing and at times referenced in plans supporting commercialization activities. It solves our gap of evaluating content and SEO performance over time to build solid strategic digital marketing plans.
  • Support: Conductor provides timely and on-point support for business challenges, newest changes that impact SEO, and approaches to shaping up your SEO strategy to increase KPIs.
  • Usability: We found that the usability of the Conductor platform provided immediate actionable information helping to jump start use of the platform, but also quickly get to the bottom of data that guides action at all levels/roles.
  • Exposing how clients are using the platform to further their initiatives could be great - almost a VOC use case of webinars to show successes and help others learn.
Conductor is well suited for organizations that are lean on resources to drive SEO - like we were (limited time) - where insights are needed quickly to action and improve. Nonetheless, its also a great tool for a collaborative team that produces content aimed at creating high impact results.

Our SEO team uses Conductor to identify opportunities for publishing new content and to optimize our currently active content. We also use it for dash boarding and reporting purposes. At my level, it is primarily used as an analytics and report building tool to identify keyword opportunities for our in-house director of SEO.
  • Building good looking, modular reports
  • Identifying opportunities for optimization for published content
  • Measuring visibility for content
  • Identifying competitors in the search engine marketing world
  • Sometimes modules don't line up correctly when building dashboards
  • Not having all features in the platform available at the enterprise level
  • Mobile app analytics would be a nice add on
Conductor is well suited for building reports that would otherwise take a lot of time if built manually in Excel. As an aggregation tool for organic traffic data, it really shines. Having all of the information needed to perform my job effectively in a single platform has been indispensable, and the ability to build dashboards on the fly is especially nice.

We use Conductor in our marketing department to report SEO activities up to executive leadership and to find SEO errors and opportunities on our site. The amount of information provided by Conductor is almost overwhelming. We are able to produce professional looking reports with the data we require. We are also able to quickly identify gaps in our content.
  • Allows us to identify threats to our SEO rankings. We can find duplicate tags or missing tags across our site and even assign tasks right in the tool.
  • Conductor has become our central database for our keywords for both SEO and PPC.
  • Provides important data and reports to anyone within the company that needs to know.
  • Integration has been a bit daunting.
  • Some of the keywords they provided during setup were nonsensical, but in the end, it's easier to remove keywords than digging them up in the first place.
  • Conductor is a very large and complex tool. There are times I wish it was simpler.
Large enterprise businesses are the right fit for Conductor. Small niche marketers will find it too expensive.

Our Inbound Marketing Team uses Conductor to track keyword movement for our clients. It allows use to analyze trending keywords, and gives insights for content creation and optimization.
  • Provide insights for content creation and optimization - this is very helpful as it shows "real" time keyword movement and allows us to optimize for keywords that we might not have thought of.
  • Reporting - the reporting dashboard is fairly easy to navigate and includes various metrics geared towards content optimization and trends.
  • Make the platform more intuitive to navigate.
  • Improve tutorial videos.
Conductor is well suited for clients who have multiple locations and a variety of products. It's not as ideal if a client has a more straight-forward business model with one location and one product.

At Path Interactive, we use Conductor to not only keep track of our SEO campaigns, but also keep an eye on the organic performance of our clients' competitors. Conductor makes it easy to report on content visibility and performance and has lots of built-in reports. It also integrates with major web analytic platforms and SEMrush! Conductor is one of our go-to tools for providing quality digital marketing services to our clients.
  • Pivot data in many ways
  • Great user interface
  • Report customizations
  • SEMRush integration based on lower-tier plans
  • Link building features too superficial
  • Hard to keep track of market share over time
  • Make sure it integrates with your web analytics.
  • Make sure you have the budget for it (although some features are priced separately and can be easily added or removed from your plan).
  • Probably adds more value when access is shared with team members and/or clients.
  • Try to get a good sense of how many keywords, domains and competitors you'd like to track.

We chose Conductor to help us identify opportunities to improve performance in organic search and drive additional traffic to our website, and I have been very happy with the success that we have with the product.

We relied on Conductor during a recent website redevelopment, where most of our URLs were changing. Through a customized Workspace we had a clear view of ranking and traffic shifts as we migrated to the new site and were able to easily identify content that was performing well and pages that needed additional optimization.

One of the biggest benefits that I have seen with Conductor is the support that I receive from Conductor. I have a dedicated team of professionals that work with me on an ongoing basis and help me maximize the effectiveness of the information provided and glean actionable data that will leverage our visibility in organic search.

  • Conductor provides excellent product support with regular ongoing meetings to help maximize the benefits from Conductor.
  • Conductor provides both standard rankings as well as their "true rank," which is basically where you really are on the SERP, not just where you are on the 10 blue links, but where you are with the maps feature or news or other kinds of universal features.
  • I love their competitive market share report, where you can get a clear picture of who owns the marketplace for key terms.
  • Just a couple of minor functionality issues, like having tables that remember your number of rows visible and ranking type.
It's especially helpful during site redesigns as you can identify ranking (and traffic) shifts.

We've been using Conductor over the last six months to identify areas where our content and metadata can be tweaked for SEO gain. We also use it to help guide us with respect to AdWords spend and better understanding the impact of our campaigns and inform our decision-making in that space. I am the primary user, but several team members have access to the interface and we are increasingly integrating it into our content production and management workflows.
  • Tracks "TrueRank" for Google Searches on keywords.
  • Shows progress over time. Strong visualizations of performance of what's improving and what's slipping.
  • Provides actionable intelligence of areas that can be addressed.
  • Helps prioritize tasks based on impact and estimated level of effort.
  • Shows competitor rank and allows you to understand how others competing with you for traffic are positioning their content.
  • The amount of data that is available to you can be a bit overwhelming to users.
  • A quarterly "health check" would be a great value add.
  • Some basic tools to optimize content when it's being created would be great. Such as guidance on length of headlines/titles, meta descriptions, meta keywords. It tells you a week later when something is "too long" or "too short", but on the front end, before it's saved and published. Also more specific suggestions would be great.
  • The weekly nature of updates is a bit limiting.
  • Sorting through recommendations and action items, some of the sort options reset themselves too much. I haven't been able to figure out how to make certain criteria selections save/persist.
We are a pretty established brand that doesn't have the same type of competition as many brands or publishers. Conductor has been a great tool for me in demonstrating to the content team that there are things under our control that can help us move up search rankings and gain more click-throughs from searches on our keywords. It has shined light on the fact that we do have competition for traffic in that space and helped people understand the impact that best practices can have in driving a greater share of traffic.

Conductor is a linchpin of our SEO services, giving us page-level and keyword-level data that provides smart, tangible insight into our ongoing content marketing strategies that we provide for our clients. Beyond that, the data and insights given about the search landscape in general go a long way to form other services in other departments - not just technical SEO or ongoing SEO strategy. Specifically, PR, social messaging, research and insights, and new business pitches are all supported by data and insight gleaned from Conductor. Additionally, their customer support team has been beyond helpful in providing ad-hoc reports, supplementing both our internal and external deliverables, and providing collateral for new business pitches or client-facing presentations. Finally, the Conductor Content Opportunity reports are one of the first boxes that we check off when launching new services such as research projects or competitive reviews. Ultimately, while its keyword tracking and content insights are the core of the product (and how we utilize it), the additional data and insight makes it a valuable tool for our entire company - not just our digital analysts and marketing managers.
  • Keyword tracking is Conductor's bread and butter. Additionally, searches can now be segmented by geo-markets, giving you greater insight into your actual ranking - particularly for those longer-tail, hyper-local keywords.
  • The reporting functionality is excellent. Once you take the time to build a template that meets your monthly (or whatever time-period) reporting needs, it's easy to pull a great looking, client-friendly report.
  • Conductor recently made a lot of new updates that provides insight into SERPs - specifically what type of media is appearing for any given query. This is key to a content marketing strategy, for pinning down the real value of keywords, and for identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Sometimes the search functionality of Conductor isn't as user-friendly. BrightEdge (a Conductor competitor), for example, has a much more user-friendly interface.
  • There is no way to copy reporting templates across accounts/clients. This seems dumb.
There's always the price-point to consider. Conductor is much more expensive than a MOZ subscription, but far more comprehensive. The long and short of it is, if you're providing SEO monitoring and management services for a large swath of clients (or at least a few enterprise-level clients), then something with the scope and capabilities of Conductor is a must. Additionally, the data and insight that the platform and company provide have value beyond SEO and content marketing that can be leveraged for other services (like research, social messaging, or traditional PR).

Primarily, I am the only user. I do however, use the dashboarding tools to produce reports that are shared with other people in the marketing department, including content creators, and also with the executive team. We bought Conductor to help us to prioritize our search engine optimization efforts and have a seamless way to track and measure the success or failure of our optimization tactics. We did this so that we could take the optimization tasks in house, tie it more closely to content creation, and also eliminate the need for an agency partnership.
  • Reporting on status over time of particular keywords. This is their core competency so it is no surprise that they do it well. It is incredibly simple to build out groups of keywords, conduct optimization experiments and track the success or failure of your efforts over a longer range of time.
  • Providing insight into the competitive landscape. At any moment, I can see how my competitors are for a particular keyword and how we stack up as well as pulling in information about their page meta information alongside my own.
  • Tying search engine ranking to more typical measurements such as revenue, event tracking on a website etc. With the analytics integration you can get very granular in how you want to measure the success of your search engine optimization projects beyond just where you appear in a single generic Google search.
  • Mobile reporting - You can (with associated fees) see exactly where you (and your competition) rank for specific keywords from mobile devices from specific locations. Very valuable to know how your efforts are impacting not only local to our business searches, but also those in places that are further away. As an international distributor, but with only a single storefront, this is particularly powerful.
  • Keeping notes and information on the tests and techniques that you've employed can be a bit cumbersome. They have been working on streamlining this. There ARE ways to keep all of your notes and info right in the platform, it just isn't always within a single click from where you are in the platform.
  • Automation of tasks isn't really a priority. I wish there were some ways to automate outbound link requests from within the platform. There are tools to pull this data up and make it visible and if it was then tied in with WhoIs data to pull a technical email contact, that would be super awesome and timesaving.
  • Some of the content segmentation tools aren't very intuitive. They take some getting used to. However, the good news is that the help documentation is available a single click from anywhere in the platform and there are lots of training resources. it just takes a bit of time to get up to speed.
If you are managing a very small site with only a handful of relevant keywords, it is not likely worth the expense, but for any large site with many relevant keywords, it is a huge timesaver on managing and monitoring your position.

Conductor is being used within the marketing department in the Carpet One division of CCA Global Partners. Specifically we are using it in digital marketing to assess our current state of organic search and improve upon that. The business problem it addresses is to help us identify opportunity areas where we can improve our organic rankings. We also use Conductor to identify areas where we can create content in order to rank for keywords we were not ranking for before.
  • Conductor is great at identifying opportunities in search. I've found more opportunities for new and for optimizing existing content than with any other tools I've used.
  • Conductor is great on reporting with their workspaces. My challenge is in coming up with my own individual workflow to organize those reports, as I've created many. Their staff is great with helping to identify workflows and work through each task.
  • Conductor's team is awesome! We have our regular support calls where they always have an agenda and are wanting to teach me something new about the platform or provide new value to our organization.
  • The recommendations section of Conductor is a weakness. The recommendations themselves are great, but I can't use the section well because I can't easily sort and organize recommendations or mark off which recommendations I've implemented. I'd ideally like a way to mark each recommendation as a task, give those tasks organization or subtasks, and then bulk mark tasks as completed. Right now to create a task and mark it as complete is so manual that I can't use Conductor to keep track of my SEO tasks.
If you are looking for a tool to review organic search, assess your current positioning, and identify opportunities for growth, Conductor is 100% the tool for you. If you are looking for just a tool that allows you to search for keywords - this is not the tool for you. They do have a keyword opportunity tool that bases new keywords to target off of competitors you are tracking, but there is no tool for just keyword research. That's not the goal of the platform. If you are looking for something as basic as that, you may be more well suited for a basic keyword research tool like SEMRush. Conductor offers so much more than that.

Conductor is being used by our organization to identify content gaps and content optimizations from an organic search perspective. It is primarily being used in the digital marketing department. It helps us increase our site traffic from organic search that we have found to be more qualified than paid or other advertising vehicles.
  • You are able to easily slice and dice data and the interface is relatively intuitive without training in comparison, to its main competitor.
  • Conductor also provides fantastic consumer support on an on-going basis.
  • Conductor also provides comparisons of your data against search competitors, which we have found valuable.
  • The tool's insights are only as good as your data and I feel it is a little clunky to import and export data to clean up keywords and preferred URL's. Instead of a spreadsheet upload, I wish you could just modify the data directly in the web-based version.
  • I also believe that with the trend of consumers using mobile as their first screen, the Conductor data needs to be more focused on mobile insights.
In comparison to the competitor, I believe Conductor is much more user-friendly and approachable. I can't think of a scenario where Conductor wouldn't be preferred. Key questions we asked during the selection period were primarily around the data reliability feeding into the tool.
