What is Consensus?

Consensus is an Intelligent Demo Automation Platform built to enable buyers by scaling presales with interactive video demos. Presales and technical sales teams automate repetitive product demos which allows them to reallocate that time to higher value activities. Buyers get a tailored demo — one that guides them with digital, interactive and on-demand video demos. This in turn helps sellers uncover additional stakeholders and eliminates unqualified demos, which in turn brings both sides to the table ready to talk specifics when live calls occur.


Consensus Intelligent Demo Automation is a platform built to shorten the sales cyle by focusing on enabling the buyer with demo content they want by scaling presales. Sales reps send presales-created content on demand from demo libraries and leverage analytics to align buyer stakeholders based on persona priorities and specific value propositions. Elements of this platform include: Interactive Video Demos: Videos recorded by SEs and SCs that are uploaded into Consensus. Sales reps share demos from integrations or Chrome extensions and buyers personalize their experience by ranking features based on relevance and eliminting unwanted noise. Interactive Product Tours: Consensus allows reps to create tours that allow buyers to click through the most important parts of the solution and receive additional information via text guides and video explainers. Demolytics: Analytics that provide insights into buyer intent and stakeholder engagement with heat maps and persona-level view data.

Consensus lets us quickly send pre-recorded demos to prospects in the early-stage funnel. This frees up our internal resources before we tailor a personalized demo. It is essentially an extension of our pre-sales team, where we have access to an extensive library of demos and customer story videos that we can access in minutes and send out post-prospect meetings. The ability to record a personalised intro video has been a game changer. I have had positive feedback from prospects, who thank me for taking the time to personalise my outreach and post-meeting follow-ups.

This is great for sending demos to prospects who are not fully qualified. Late-funnel prospects probably should have a tailored demo at that stage of the sales process. A great example is that after a prospect meeting, I will record a personalised video to recap what was discussed and attach all the specific use cases and demo scenarios mentioned in the call from the prospect. This can be recorded and sent post-meeting within 20 minutes, and it is a compelling way to keep the top of mind the prospect. They can share this content internally, and we can track opens, view time, and who they shared it with internally, which is a real game changer.

We evaluated Consensus vs Highspot 2 years ago, and although we still have Highspot, we use Consensus around 90% time vs 10% Highspot. Highspot is suitable for sending analyst's reports and product and industry whitepapers; Consensus is far superior with pre-recorded demos and personalised video intros and the ability to track opens, gain insights on how long they have watched and demo, and what part of the demo was the had more engagement with and to track who they send the demo to internally gives you incredible insights.

Consensus has been a valuable and vital sales tool at every stage of our sales cycle. In the very early stages of prospect education, you can send videos to get them familiar and up to speed with our product without a solution consultant's involvement. It is also a very powerful tool at the later stages of the sales cycle, with the ability to tailor demos and intro videos and record exec alignment itro videos, which we have had great success with.

Keeping prospects warm in between meetings is mission critical. Consensus' platform allows me to create custom content that is delivered in a seamless, low-pressure environment.

Almost all of my sales engagements have unique pain points and areas for improvement. Consensus allows me to record custom demos on areas of our platform that are most meaningful for my prospective customers. This means, I can address my prospects in a more personable way than ever before and has led to significant increases in engagement by my prospective customers.
  • Consensus does a great job at facilitating a low-pressure environment for me to demonstrate my platform's solutions and address key bottlenecks that can be solved for with our platform.
  • Consensus allows me to pre-record boiler plate demos that I can "rinse and repeat" for standard, out of the box functionalities

  • The front-end UX could be improved to look and feel more like a mature SaaS solution

Within the last 6 months, I've run a personal A/B test on opportunities with and without Consensus videos being sent after every meeting. Those opportunities where I sent Consensus videos after every meeting had a >50% likelihood of closing and/or progressed past the Proposal phase. Those opportunities where I did not send Consensus video, I was left unanswered more often than not.

This is a great tool that is absolutely essential to our sales process. We often share recordings and demo's so this is a great sales enablement tool to help with our customers. As an organisation we use this tool daily and it is key to communications between customers and prospective customers. Easy to use and capable of holding any videos and content that is crucial to send in an attractive format for our sales process.

When I have used Consensus the most is for Sales enablement and customers reviewing recordings and specialist areas of the product. Often someone is unable to attend our meeting or we need to include a global audience, so by being able to get our demonstrations across to a wider group AND track how they are interacting with that content is key to our sales process.

We use Consensus to help us engage with our customers more when sharing content.

It's so much better to be able to see how our customers have interacted with our content, and when. This way we can react more appropriately.

Overall, the difference in our interactions with our customers now has increased tenfold.

I have previously used the Smart Links feature in Sales NAVIGATOR for LinkedIn.

This was quite similar to Consensus but it feels more like a 'junior' version.

There is much more functionality in Consensus and much more integration with Salesforce which is great when logging opportunities.

I don't know of a better product in the marketplace.
