Oracle CRM is one of the best products in the market to run the company’s data. Nowadays it has a lot of competition since the birth of cloud-based solutions. The flexibility of implementations, UI, easier migration tools and configuration are key elements to determine the position of a product in the market. Let's also not forget about the price of ownership.

We also connect to Oracle Business Intelligence, which is not even an option of the list of products above (that's always encouraging when products are missing from lists!) This connects to campaigns in Siebel along with users writing reports based on data from Siebel. I don't think OBIEE stacks up that great with other systems because it seems to be lacking in reports, and those who can make them have to be quite technical.
Oracle Database I think stacks up because of how robust and speedy (at times) it can be.

I would say honestly they are both really good programs. They would compliment each other quite well if they weren't competition. They both offer great opportunities for success and both have areas which need improvement. Overall, however, they are worth a shot.

Oracle Siebel CRM Review

Siebel is suitable for a large organization as it has a comprehensive integrated functionality with great performance that suits customer service, marketing and sales. It supports complex security guidelines. It has complete development and deployment manager that can keep track of versions and manage the rollback if needed.Other options, such as Saleforce, was expensive and did not provide the flexibility that we needed in our specific use cases.

Salesforce is clearly the winner when it comes to CRM. They have a time proven and absolutely robust solution which is not only easy but fun to use. Zoho CRM doesn't have as many features as the other modern CRMs but it's a good, lightweight and comparatively cheaper option. Fusion CRM has great integration capability. A lot of features are still in enhancement request phase but Oracle is slowly rolling them out.

Oracle Siebel CRM was selected 2 years before I began working here. At that time is was best of breed, and we only used it for servicing our clients. Our company did not use any of the sales features in the tool. Once the company decided to do sales, we introduced opportunity management and campaign. At that time we began to research other CRM tools, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and I believe Oracle on demand??? We already use Microsoft Dynamics in another business line of the company and we considered their newer cloud solution. The cost with Salesforce was extremely high although they did win out over the others. In the end, budgets were cut and with that cut, went the new CRM tool.

Siebel CRM is available in different modifications and can be tailored to specific needs. The user interface is clean and simple, and it takes very little time to make changes to customizing changes to fit your needs. Siebel CRM also offers multiple integration options to make things easy for user via button-click administration, such as automatically creating tasks, sending emails, or making field updates.

We evaluated several companies for marketing before the purchase of Siebel in 2010. However, Siebel was already being used by our sales organization and it was already decided prior to us interviewing other companies that we would be buying Siebel. The dog and pony show for the other companies was just that... a show. We had no real input on what to purchase.

Oracle Siebel CRM has got much stronger workflow engine than its competitors like Kickserv and Zoho CRM. Also, the provided integration options are better than Salesforce or Hatchbuck. With the additional support for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Desktop plugin for Outlook, there is no need to install any additional software to use it in the offline mode.

Siebel is quite a bit slower in performance and lacks support for modern browsers, in contrast to Salesforce.com. It's also much less searchable and discoverable (with regard to insights) and lacks a fresh look. I'm not privy to all the reasons why our organization moved away from Siebel CRM, but I'm glad we did.
