Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
We use ADP Workforce Now across the entire organization except for one restaurant. We have five restaurants, a farm, a processing/manufacturing center for pharmaceuticals, a pharmacy, a management/office company, and construction. Each of these uses ADP Workforce Now for onboarding new employees, payroll, tracking certifications, tracking PTO accrual and use, and more.
Pros
- Providing learning centers / posting Q&As for most tasks.
- Very technical and robust reporting and accounting features.
Cons
- Too technical for the average user, especially in HR.
- Onboarding is really glitchy: users don't get the emails, there are errors in the form, are unable to upload documents, etc. to where we have to onboard another way.
- Training and support teams are mostly incompetent.
- Strange rules that prevent certain actions during the start or preview of payroll - can't input garnishments, but you can still change wages.
- Updating someone's pay doesn't always show up in the pay batch.
- When adding an employee to another position or another company, it doesn't transfer over the tax withholdings or direct deposit information.
- Slack
- T-Sheets
- Okta
Closed API, so was not able to connect to Okta well. Slack was fine. There are also some apps on the ADP marketplace that connect very well; we used Built For Teams in this way.
- Rippling, Adobe Illustrator CC, ADP Enterprise HR, ADP Mobile Solutions, ADP SmartCompliance, RUN Powered by ADP®, Wisely, by ADP, Enterprise eTIME, 7shifts, QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets), Sling, monday.com and Slack
We loved RUN Powered by ADP, but it was no longer compatible with how big the company was. We currently use and love Monday and Slack. QuickBooks Time is very important to our company, especially construction because it allows GPS tracking of employees. 7shifts is great for restaurants because employees can easily trade shifts. Sling is easy and cheap for us to track time for office employees. Rippling looked very nice, and we really want to switch to them, but their pricing model was high for us. One benefit of ADP Workforce Now is that you pay a flat rate and not per employee, so scalability is very cheap, unlike other software.
