Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
We implemented Raiser's Edge and NXT from a homegrown system, the fundraising-specific capabilities are vastly improved. The list function has improved our ability to target more specific groups with ease, especially with how lists relate to emails. We are rolling out increased use for our major gift officers who can now easily add action notes with the NXT Gmail connection. In general, the ease of accessing and tracking information in donor records has made a huge difference in workflow and actually capturing important notes. We look forward to continuing to use the system to the fullest potential in this new fiscal year since we will not have data from our old system!
- Analytic reporting is great, I love the specific data points; we especially love making them for each appeal.
- List creation and pulling into emails

- Mail merge if then statement in emails, ex. use the preferred name but if no preferred name then uses the first name. I would prefer not to have to double list the first and preferred names for clarity.
- Embedded video capability in emails.
- More gift editing option in NXT for gifts added in RE7.

We are very new to our implementation and have been experiencing some team transitions. I look forward to being able to utilize these features greater in this new fiscal year. Our Head of School is very impressed by them, and so far it's been a great "quick check in" to see a rough idea of capacity. I hope to take more BB University courses or study the community for recommendations on the best way to increase the usage of these markers.

I used Daxko while at a YMCA, at the time I had just come from an organization using RE and NXT, and felt like it was a huge step down in fundraising-specific functionality. We use GiveSmart for the online bidding capabilities but I hope in the future we will be able to use something more integrated with NXT. We've ended up setting up entire events on GiveSmart so that donors have the entire event transactions in one place, but it is much more work to then add those transactions to Raiser's Edge, batching is my friend, but I still hope it can be combined for use for a future event.
