Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT in our fundraising efforts and to manage our constituents' interactions with our organization, whether by tracking communications, storing donation histories, or recording their participation in events. It streamlines many facets of donor record-keeping so everything is housed in one place and is easily accessible by multiple staff members as needed, if they are in Administration or one of our facilities, or working remotely in the field or from home.

  • Lists accomplished tasks as well as those to be completed
  • Shows events supported by constituents
  • Consistent terminology (things labeled differently in NXT vs. database view)
  • Some details not viewable in NXT
  • Frequently glitchy, despite being cloud-based
  • Compiled donation records
  • Lists upcoming meetings and tasks to be accomplished
  • History of interactions and event participation
  • Increase of donors and funds raised for multiple appeals
  • Time savings by consolidating donation and event participation
  • Consistency of tracking constituent interactions
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT allows us to see what appeals and caused resonate with our constituents. We are able to analyse response rates depending on multiple factors such as what type of animal is featured in a particular campaign, what frequency of solicitation is best for certain areas, or what time of year best works for specific asks.
  • Online Training
The online training was relatively user-friendly, and allows learning at your own pace. However, it can glaze over certain areas for which more detail would be appreciated. Knowledgebase is often not easily searchable for particular solutions, even more so now that KB numbers no longer appear to match up with solutions referenced.
In my opinion, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is far superior to Salesforce for our particular needs. It is more user-friendly and encompasses a vast amount of data that is required to manage the needs of our constituents, which is crucial to our mission. It has become almost indispensable to our work.

It is especially useful for those team members that are working in the field or meeting with constituents, but it can be less helpful when certain details are required. Not easy to see some things without knowing to drill down in to further levels to get the data you might require.
