Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

One of our main uses of NXT is for fundraisier gift tracking. We use opportunities to track asks through the year to calculate fundraiser credits and ROI. NXT also stores all donor information to aid in the gift cultivation and stewardship process. Our team also uses Raiser’s Edge Database view, so our use is split amongst the team. Our fundraisers use NXT and our data entry specialists use database view for gift entry and database maintenance.

I’ve mentioned this in several questions already, but our fundraisers LIVE in NXT. We are thorough about writing notes about donors as we learn information, track asks through the opportunities section / identify prospects using the prospect section and use these as a way to manage and stay on top of donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. NXT is easy to use and a much appreciated tool amongst our fundraisers.

I loved the live trainings online. It was very helpful having a real person there to answer questions that apply specifically to your organization and was helpful to hear how othe organizations are using RE. The self guided trainings are helpful too but really appreciated the live trainings! The Blackbaud resources page is also very helpful.
In other roles I’ve used Salesforce and Bloomerang, both of which were great systems and had their own pros. Blackboard Raiser’s Edge NXT is by far my favorite, mostly due to it’s limitless potential. NXT can meet you were you are whatever size organization and can grow with you. It is what you need it to be at any point in your organizations life cycle, and I really appreciate that.

I’m really happy with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT for our organization, but there are things that it’s lacking. My recommendation would be dependent on what the organizations needs are. Overall, I would recommend due to functionality and customer service. I think NXT could fit well for any organization but it may be too much for some smaller nonprofits. Price range could be a deterrent. For organizations not needing NXTs full functionality I would probably recommend a more cost efficient solution.
