Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

Raiser's Edge NXT is our donor database. We use it to accept and keep track of all donations. We use it to keep current information about our donors and build relationships with them. We use it to communicate with all our donors and constituents. We use it to track patterns of giving over time. We use it to pull many different reports and mailing lists.
  • It pulls the fundraising data into nice charts and graphics.
  • It offers one the ability to create a task list for donors.
  • The sections on each donor profile can be arranged the way one likes to view it.
  • Training - I would like one person that I am able to call and speak with about the issues that I need help with whenever needed. I am not a fan of the "chat online," and the number of training courses is overwhelming.
  • Our customer success manager is always very kind but never really knows how to help. They continually refer me to training courses that are too long and overwhelming. They often do not know which ones to really refer me to, and several times I have been referred to the wrong one and wasted three hours of my time.
  • Donor Profiles.
  • Online Giving, tracking and reporting of gifts.
  • Ability to produce reports of various kinds.
  • Communication with donors and constituents.
  • At this time, we are not able to attribute any positive impact as a result of using Raiser's Edge NXT.
Unfortunately, I am short-staffed and have not been able to use the analytics and data intelligence provided to impact our fundraising yet.
  • Online Training
As I explained earlier, training online is overwhelming. We were misguided on what training to take and the ones we took to start were three hours long each. They were difficult to schedule and overwhelming.
According to what the saleswoman for Blackbaud presented, Raiser's Edge NXT has more features enabling it to be a more robust donor platform.

If you are able to have at least one person in your organization who is completely dedicated to using Raiser's Edge NXT, gets fully trained, and uses the system daily, then I would highly recommend it. However, if you are in a small organization like mine where I have one person who is only able to spend a few hours a week, has to go through online chat, and is not able to get a knowledgeable person on the phone to answer questions as needed, then I do not recommend.
