Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

ClickUp is used across several different business areas in multiple capacities. I am part of a small subgroup that oversees implementation, training, and user issues and also serve as one among a small, internal team that interacts with client representatives from ClickUp. My specific department uses the application to organize, manage and communicate projects creative projects to users both internally and externally.

  • Inconsistent functionality with refreshing and loading.
  • Extremely poor search feature.
  • Inability to save specific settings (Folders sorting AtoZ).
  • Overly broad data encapsulation for dashboard widgets.
  • Inconsistent and poorly functioning scrolling for longer lists.
  • Unfavorable default notification settings.
  • It has reduced time spent on creating and transmitting projects.
After a year, we're still waiting for ClickUp to get back to us on setting up a time to meet with them and cover best practices on all of these items. We have begun the process of paying outside consultants to help us better integrate ClickUp to achieve org-wide collaboration, and integration on goals.
ClickUp communication features have reduced communication redundancy by allowing a centralized location for communication and collaboration at the task and project levels. Previously groups communicated across email and direct messaging apps in addition to our previous PM system. ClickUp has improved the centralization of information considerably.
I was onboarded to rollout ClickUp, I was not part of the decision.

ClickUp is well suited for building out a straightforward complex task-based project management system. It is user-friendly for a wide scope of computing abilities. It has a broad scope of customizable features to accommodate different project structures. It is less suited for organizations that have large groups of external users and need external communication with users that are less familiar with current project management application interactions.
