ClickUp in real estate development world
Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We needed a tool where everyone in the team can contribute, share tasks, and follow up. ClickUp allowed us to create projects, tasks, and schedules. My favorite is highlighting the most important tasks with a 5-star rating (I used it as an important factor or indicator). We started with a free version, and then after using many tools, it was required to purchase or activate some premium features (this was one of our problems but it is logical for some). In regards to the scope, we used it internally among employees of the company only. We never tried to give our clients access or somehow enhance the process to include them.
Pros
- Creating Tasks
- Tagging employees
- Internal reacting and chatting with employees inside tasks
Cons
- Sometimes it is slow after creating many tasks
- Free version could include more features
- Maybe the ability to email through ClickUp
- Fast access to tasks which means less time trying to search
- A tool to archive and documents data like drawings, specs which save money from other software
- Expensive after upgrading in comparison to other software in regards to archiving
The goal of using ClickUp at the beginning is to have an eye on everyone's tasks from a manager's point of view, but it was developed later on when everyone started to lay their tasks with timelines. It became a great collaboration tool that we did not expect it to be, then we created more projects and shifted our original purpose from managing employees to managing tasks and monitoring them.
ClickUp eliminated our reliance on Drive to online archiving through the platform, and also with more details, timeline ad dependency relations between data. It took some time in the beginning, but once we implemented ClickUp in full, all of our employees felt the simplicity and saw good productivity results right away.
It is a big difference in regards to interaction and productivity, but I choose Google Drive because it was our only tool to archive data and create tools. ClickUp as an archiving tool is great compared to Google Drive, but it became slower when we uploaded a huge amount of data, so we had to separate projects and divide our documents through them.
