Overall Satisfaction with Gong

As an AE, Gong makes it so I don't have to rely on my terrible hand-scrawled notes. But it's so much more. Gong has trained me to be a much better seller by listening more and talking less. I'm not sure how I ever lived without it.
  • Breaking bad habits (patience, monologuing)
  • Finding and sharing snippets from a call with team members
  • Automated reminders to check in with prospects, send info you may have forgotten, touch stagnant deals
  • Speech transcription could possibly be better
  • More analytics, more comparisons to team members
  • Blog posts about the rationale behind why some things work and some things don't
  • I almost gave a customer a much lower price than they had agreed to but I went back and listened to the call and realized they had agreed to a higher tier product. This saved my butt and my manager's butt.
No real learning curve, super easy to use. Nobody ever trained me, it's intuitive.
I'm not sure I know exactly what this refers to.
Showpad is similar to Gong but it doesn't offer the conversation analysis (like a deal stage, what the conversation is about, etc). It doesn't give you tips for follow-up. It also doesn't tell you your performance (i.e. patience, monologuing, etc). So it's fine for recording and transcribing calls but Gong just has many more useful features.

Do you think Gong delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Gong's feature set?

Yes

Did Gong live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Gong go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Gong again?

Yes

Gong is great for managers of larger teams who couldn't possibly have the time to listen to every call. It helps manage improvement for all reps.

Smaller teams may not benefit quite as much, or teams that do fewer demos.
