Overall Satisfaction with Klaviyo

The perfect email platform for e-commerce. We use Klaviyo to support our e-commerce marketing efforts. We are a small team, but Klaviyo allows us to have a big impact. It seamlessly integrates with Shopify, makes automating marketing actions simple, and allows us to quickly and easily build great emails and forms. Adding SMS support was a major plus, as well.

  • Some external integrations create overly long profile property names (e.g. Typeform). It seems like this breaks the ability to dynamically insert these properties in emails. It'd be nice to be able to specify the property names for each external form field, or a custom keyword to insert those property values in emails.

Automating our marketing processes using Klaviyo's email and SMS flows have allowed our small team to make a big impact. With it, we drive repeat purchases, recover abandoned carts, and send potential customers relevant offers at the point of sign-up.

Klaviyo offers a wide variety of integration options. It covers a wide variety of popular marketing platforms and related services. Integration is very easy and can often be done in just a few clicks. Klaviyo offers intelligent customizable options for integrations and syncs data almost seamlessly. Integrations should be obviously tested after set-up to identify any potential issues or quirks, but most work well "out of the box".
Being able to marry broad analytic data with detailed customer behavior reporting is a gamechanger. Klaviyo allows us to track customer trends as they happen, determine leaks in our funnel, and map the overall customer journey. The detailed individual profile tracking allows us to research the behavior of our VIP customers and make strategic decisions based on those findings. The latter also helps troubleshoot issues with email deliverability (ex. "I didn't receive that email." "Yes, you did. In fact, you opened it :)")
Klaviyo had a major impact on our customer retention by facilitating dynamic product recommendations in our post-purchase flow. It also has helped us reduce our abandoned cart rate and improve our onboarding.
When we were selecting our email marketing platform, we weight a variety of options and factors. Klaviyo's e-commerce related abilities and features put it a step above the rest. It's very user-friendly without being overly simplistic. The price also compared favorably to other similar services at the time. After we started using Klaviyo, they rolled out SMS capabilities that made it even more valuable to us.

In my mind, Klaviyo is best suited for e-commerce marketing. Using it for B2B style marketing could be tricky. That said, it is very flexible and could be used in a similar way to Salesforce or HubSpot, but those platforms' more robust CRM capabilities make them better suited for B2B marketing uses.
