Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
We use Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) as a email provider. It allows us to manage our email in the cloud in a secure way, without the need to look after an additional server. It ensures our server is always up to date with all security patches and that we always have the latest version of Outlook.
Pros
- It integrates flawlessly with Active Directory
- Very easy to migrate from Exchange
- Allows Hybrid integration with on-premises
Cons
- The Outlook online interface could be improved a lot
- SSO support for different domains
- Make working with different accounts easier
- Cross-platform integration
- Central management
- Security
- Office licenses are included
- No need for IT support
- No lost emails
I have used Gmail in the past. As far as the email goes, it is very similar, and you even get lots of additional tools; however, the integration with Active Directory is missing. And obviously you have to pay separately for your office license. As far as the actual email interface online goes, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) has a lot to learn from Google.
