Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Mostly during the ideation and coordination process in interdisciplinary workshops. It solves gaps and enables alignment across all disciplines.

Pros

  • Interactive diagrams and charts
  • Dynamic collaborative virtual space
  • Ability to embed and link with presentation
  • Helps organise thoughts and ideas from many participants

Cons

  • Ability to download the board in a high-resolution
  • More templates on diagrams and charts
  • Option to show avatar or photo of the member
  • reduced travel cost as we work with a global team
  • saved time for coordination
  • helped relay clear messages, hence, mitigating prolonged time for coordination and communication
I think it really depends on how you use it or where to use it for. As I mentioned, it would be difficult to use for a workshop with more than 20 participants if you want to gather information from them.
At least for me, it is easy, but I guess "ease" of use is relative to every person using it. I'm a creative person so I enjoy using graphics and diagrams. Although, generally, I notice that any new user (different age groups) can easily learn and participate without reading the instruction.
Well, it really helped me collaborate with my team, especially during the pandemic where lockdown is in place. I've been using this even when I was still studying and it was very helpful. I even attended an international event and they used Miro as our venue - it was quite an awesome experience! Now, I work in a global team for international projects and it has been very helpful so far.

  • MURAL (formerly Mural.ly), Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Microsoft Teams
Simply because it is ideal for a more complex function, unlike the Whiteboard in Teams and Google. I really like the functionality and ease of using Miro compared to Mural.
Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), Adobe Creative Cloud Express (formerly Adobe Spark), Autodesk Bim 360
I guess if there are too many members or participants but there is limited time in a workshop, it is hard to use it to encourage them to provide inputs on the board while discussing.
