Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is an online collaboration and whiteboarding platform that can help teams work together remotely. One common use case for Miro is for brainstorming sessions, where team members can use the platform to collaborate in real-time and share their ideas. Working with many remote teams across Europe it is an essential tool capturing all kind of thoughts.

We use Miro for a variety of purposes, including brainstorming and sketching. Some specific use cases might include:

  • Brainstorming: When we need to come up with new ideas for a project, we use Miro to facilitate virtual brainstorming sessions. Team members can use Miro's digital whiteboard to jot down their ideas and share them with others in real-time. Miro's collaboration features also allow team members to build on each other's ideas and create mind maps or concept maps.
  • Sketching: When we need to create visual representations of our ideas, Miro is also a useful tool. We can use the platform to sketch out wireframes, user interface designs, or other visualizations. Miro provides a range of pre-built templates for various types of sketches, making it easy to get started.
With Miro, we can work together effectively even when we're not in the same physical location, and we can easily visualize and communicate our ideas.
  • Shared working on a board
  • Freedom to make boards playfull
  • It is quick and responsive
  • Ability to guide and steer people thu the board by hiding parts of it
  • Usage of frames to guide the user
  • There could be more options for you own shape creation
  • Use a dark theme
  • People are more effective in sharing designs
  • More effective during remote team calls since we have a "Whiteboard" at hand
  • Sometimes we spend too much time on looks iso the message
It is well thought off. The product is quite complete and ready to be used instantly. It really added value to our remote calls that we did not have before. Especially the instant whiteboarding is really helpfull.
The score would be higher if there would be a native integration with MS Teams. So that when you create a board during a meeting, it is shared automatically with the participants.
Not only on new projects! Miro helps us daily in organising all kind of projects with idea capture, timing and ordering tasks, brainstoming on ideas. But also in workshops to learn participants new stuff, get untold stories and play planning poker.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It is well suited for brainstorming and loose scetching. Also creating a draft project plan or workshops to help people understand a concept are really good to manage.

Miro is less suited for creating official documents or final versions of IT Architecture documentation as there is no way of "pinning" versions other than exporting it to PDF. Also linking boards together is not possible making it harder to reference to other boards.
