Overall Satisfaction with Paycom

Paycom is used as our payroll and HR management solution for the whole organization. Paycom has a web-based program that allows employees to input their timesheets and view their pay stubs, both current and historical. The database allows management to view historical payroll records, HR data, employment history. and to create customized reports. The business problems that Paycom addresses for us is that all quarterly and annual government reporting (payroll reports, W2s, unemployment reporting, etc.) are done automatically and efficiently. Also, all payroll and HR-related records are kept in one place with easy access and flexible reporting capabilities.
  • Everything is web-based so data can be access at work, at home, or if you are on the road.
  • All the historical payroll data and reports are easy to access and everything is in one place. You don't really need to keep any printed records which can cause security and storage issues. All data is online with controlled access.
  • Paycom assigns you an account manager and support team. This is very helpful to get quick answers to any issue that may come up. You are always a phone call or email away from getting help.
  • In the 12 years we have used Paycom, they have consistently made updates and improvements to the product such as easier data entry and reporting.
  • At this time I don't have any issues that come to mind regarding missing functionality or any feature that is hard to use. As mentioned before Paycom continually makes improvements. In the past, functions such as payroll entry and annual benefits set-up/rollover were a little tedious. However, those functions have been updated and improved and work much more efficiently.
  • The ROI is very positive. Using Paycom is much more cost-effective than doing the same functions in-house.
  • Time is saved for doing payroll. I think I spend more time each week reminding employees to complete their timesheets than it takes to actually create and submit the payroll through Paycom.
Previous to Payroll we used ADT for payroll. We switched because at the time ADT did not have a web based product for our size company.
I can only speak for our scenario. I can definitely say Paycom is well suited for a small business like ours with 45 employees. The fees are very reasonable for what they provide. We get direct deposit payroll and all the quarterly and annual government reporting done easily and efficiently. It is much more cost-effective for a small business than doing these functions in-house.
