Overall Satisfaction with Procore
We have gone through a staged roll-out of Procore over the last year, and now have ~90% of our active projects using the system.
We previously used Sage Timberline for our project management needs, but found that it hadn't kept up with current technology. After researching several PM solutions, we landed on Procore because of its ability to sync back to our Sage accounting software as well as its strengths in bringing together all aspects of managing a project into a single software.

- Unlimited users - by purchasing Procore, you have the ability to invite as many users as you need to your company/ project, and you can assign different level of permissions to each user across every project.
- Collaboration - allows every person on a project team to interact through a single software.
- Cloud based storage - Unlimited storage for project files which clears up internal server space.
- ERP Integration - Yes, it is definitely a Pro that Procore offers integration to different accounting software, however the Sage 300 integration still needs some work to provide the complete picture of the project's financials without having to access Sage Timberline for reporting/ entry.
- Bidding - Procore offers a bidding tool, however we currently use SmartBidNet and don't believe the Procore is a comparable product at this time.
Yes, Procore was designed with collaboration at its base. They offer mobile apps for Windows, iOS and Android which provide the ability to access all project documents anywhere and anytime as long as you have an mobile/Wifi connection. The software also makes it extremely easy to share documents to all stakeholders on a project.
- Although Procore seems to be a fairly intuitive software, it requires a solid time investment to develop processes and train employees on how to use the software to obtain its full potential.
- Once training & roll-out is completed, it without a doubt saves a ton of time involved with tracking and data entry throughout the course of a project.
- Sage 300 ERP, PlanGrid and SmartBidNet
- Procore is several steps above Sage PJ in terms of a project management software.
- Procore's drawing tool is very comparable to PlanGrid, however it still has a few tweaks that need to be made before it is at the same level. Specifically as it relates to the speed of switching and viewing plans on the mobile app.
- Procore's bidding tool is similar to SmartBidNet but doesn't appear to be a complete replacement of some of SBN's functionality.
