Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online Advanced
I am an accountant with a bookkeeping firm, so I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for my company and sure clients. For clients with more significant volume transactions or other unique situations, the Advanced version of QBO is beneficial and worth the extra cost. I've been using QBO for over a decade now. I enjoy the added benefits of QuickBooks Online Advanced for my situation.
- Batch Enter Transactions - great for high volume businesses!
- Workflow and custom user roles allow for better handling in an accounting team environment.
- Great for companies with complex Chart of Accounts with the unlimited COA option.
- Matching leaves something to be desired. You can't match to items that have been reconciled and too many possible matches are sometimes shown. Other times, no matching is shown.
- Whereas pulled into the "Edit Rule" screen - especially the difference between bank text and description for what you are currently working with.
- It has positively impacted our closing process and how quickly we can get financials out to clients.
Set up and training is a breeze if moving from another level of QBO. For those moving their books from different software, the process is relatively similar to other QBO versions, in my opinion. The training available is helpful.
I love working with my clients remotely and without using a file that we have to transfer back and forth.
I am an accountant, so it addresses my company's needs by allowing me quicker closing times for my clients and giving me the functionality they may need.
I only use QuickBooks with my clients - both online and desktop. Some clients are moving in from Excel - it is incredible how much better they are to manage their businesses when entering data consistently!
