Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We purchased this product to replace our previous system and consolidate multiple system into one. Our goal was to have one financial system to provide insight into all financial aspects of the organization. We also we planning to grow the organization and this platform provided more opportunities to easily grow our services and track that growth. We were looking to empower our project managers to have more control and insight into their projects which this package could provide.
- Allows you to track finances at multiple levels
- provides individuals responsible for project direct control and insight into the projects
- Allows consolidation of multiple processes into one application
- Reporting is not straight forward and can be difficult to pick up
- There is extensive help, but it is often hard to search and find what you are looking for and is often missing simple material that would be helpful; it lacks any concrete examples
- The support site is makes it time consuming and difficult to submit a case; there is a lot of unnecessary information required.
- My experience in getting things resolved through support cases has not been ideal; items in the help that are clearly inaccurate and have been pointed out still have not been updated or fixed 8 months later.
- It has allowed the consolidation from multiple financial sources to one source of information
- It an be difficult to learn and is not always intuitive
- Training staff can take time; there are not a lot of online resources available to solve problems
We are still working on getting the most out of the software. We had substantial turnover in our financial department during the implementation, which caused substantial delays in getting everything implemented. We have seen a better understanding of both our accounts receivables and accounts payable that has provided a better understanding of our financial situation. We are working on getting all the automations from outside sources, like salesforce, integrated to provide even better information.
We have the time and expense module and the grant and project module and both have been big helps. We have a much better understanding of how staff are spending time, not only overall, but on each project. We are also able to track how each task in a project is tracking compared to what we budgeted which has allowed us to more finely tune quotes and get a better understanding, internally, of where we can improve our processes or where we need to rethink pricing.
