Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
I provide human resources consulting services with a small start-up biotech company, and utilize TriNet's services for all employees. Primary services are payroll processing and benefits administration. TriNet assists with compliance issues, but the most important business processes are benefits offerings for employees, managing benefits enrollment, and ongoing carrier accounting, and collecting/remitting payroll taxes.
- TriNet's client service team is their best asset. They are for the most part very helpful and knowledgeable, and are willing to go the extra mile to assist with resolution of issues, whether initiated by TriNet or me. Gaby Lopez-Rizzo, Specialist, Client Services – Passport, is assigned to our account, and I have never dealt with a client service representative - in any industry - who is more knowledgeable and professional, and who truly cares about taking care of her clients.
- TriNet's CRM seems to work very well. No matter who I speak with, they can access my company's records almost instantly and answer my questions or resolve problems.
- Automated benefits enrollment, although there are occasional glitches, tends to work well and is relatively easy to navigate.
- Self service portal for employees also works well and is easy to work with. I rarely get questions from employees regarding information available on line.
- Complex issues that can't be handled at the CSR level and must be escalated to the various operating departments are, as a rule, not handled in a timely and proactive fashion. There are times when open issues continue for several weeks without resolution, and multiple follow-up calls are necessary.
- The Beta site recently released remains "buggy". It would be better to work out as many issues as possible before release. For example, last week I completed a simple status change, and the system accepted part of the information but failed to load other fields. My CSR had to complete the change for me.
- In general, for a company TriNet's size, report availability is underwhelming. The list of available reports has not changed materially in several years. Although most reports provide the ability to download to Excel, the download does not provide a user friendly means of organizing, sorting, and customizing the data. I would expect more customization options on the front end, and at least a download process that allows for easy manipulation in Excel. This is an area that needs a lot of work.
- Multiple benefits offerings in multiple states is a big help in recruiting and retaining employees.
- Simple and accurate payroll processing and administration saves a lot of time.
- Readily available assistance with questions on administration, compliance, and benefits add substantial value.
I have reviewed and received proposals from several competing PEO's over the years. Each has it's positive and negative points. Overall, however, I haven't found one that would cause me to leave TriNet. I do shop on a regular basis, and will continue to assess the PEO market as it evolves.
