Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We are an organization of about 50 employees nationwide (~25 states), and TriNet is our PEO (professional employer organization). TriNet manages our payroll, state and federal tax filings, I-9 and W2 reporting; benefits (and acts as insurance broker); handbooks and record keeping. We also leverage TriNet Expense for our expense submission and reimbursement ; TriNet Perform for our annual Performance Reviews, and TriNet Hire for our Applicant Tracking.
  • comprehensive
  • responsive
  • bespoke
  • high quality
  • qualitative / workforce analytics reporting
  • ATS tailoring
  • seamless API integrations
  • Minimized in-house resourcing for payroll and tax remittance
  • Eliminated need to procure stand-alone compliance trainings (particularly for key compliance items like harassement)
  • Generally streamlined compliance and reporting activities
Superb customer service. UI is a bit clunky and non-intuitive but once you've navigated it, it's fairly straightforwad.
TriNet has fantastic chat support, phone support, and also a dedicated agent via email. All are synchronized on the backend and knowledgeable on HR, Payroll, Platform best practices, as well as our specific company details. Support is very accessible to employees as well, and allows me to direct them there to alleviate HR inquiry burden.
None, though I know it put out some health & safety guidance for worksite employees who are in person.
TriNet offered similar functionalities to other PEOs like Insperity & Justworks, though for our particular company size & needs was the most cost competitive.

Do you think TriNet delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with TriNet's feature set?

Yes

Did TriNet live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of TriNet go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy TriNet again?

Yes

TriNet is well suited to a rapidly growing organization with colleagues in many different states, that needs a comprehensive platform to support a leanly resourced in house HR / payroll / benefits team. As part of their single (base) plan, TriNet offers benefits coverage (including access to large-group insurance rates), comprehensive payroll & tax reporting; workforce analytics; easy on / offboarding, and other additional platforms (expense, perform, etc).
