C9 is a good and economical solution for what it does. If evaluating them today, I would want to clearly understand their product roadmap and their ability to execute against it.

  • Helps forecast your pipeline for you. Overall, this makes your planning and day-to-day tasks much easier.
  • You get to focus more on your pipeline due to it being easier to deal with and operate. This allows for strategic sales planning, which is vital for an organization.
  • You can determine what deals need to be saved, as well as risky deals that could hurt your pipeline.
  • You can look at what's changed in your pipeline and why that changed. This will allow you to grow as a sales professional.

Cons

  • Some of the terms used are a learning process for our team, but the site is easy to navigate.
  • Although the site is easier to navigate, it has a lot of facets that take time to learn where elements are saved.

  • Their support ticketing system and support page could be improved. They were always responsive, but tracking the status of your ticket and knowing who it was assigned to was challenging.
  • There were some performance issues that seemed to come with application enhancements, but they were always communicating progress and working to resolve.

C9 is very niched (used exclusively by Sales). What it does, it does extremely well. However, if another BI tool with broader functionality and 80% of C9's ability was under consideration as a more widely adopted enterprise solution, there would not be a strong reason to keep C9.

Very simple implementation. They basically set up the imports and then they configure the tool per customer requests.

I wish there had been more consultation during the implementation, but it wasn’t bad given the effort expended. We ended up re-implementing after about a year and a half.

Alternatives Considered

Oracle is not user-friendly. It is outdated and confusing, also makes it hard to enter in and out of certain tabs/areas within the platform. 6sense is more in-depth and has more functional abilities compared to Salesforce.

Return on Investment

  • It is easier to monitor our ROI on certain campaigns, departments, subclasses, within our sites.
  • We have less issues with launching campaigns correctly and the site crashing on us while processing and developing these campaigns.
