I think Act-On would work equally well for small to large companies. If you are less confident or experienced in automation and funneling, Act-On genuinely invests in the expertise to guide and support you so you can be continually learning and developing your skills and application for the platform. You never feel you are in the deep end

Pros

  • Customer service. Act-on is the leader in client support for training, basic tips and trouble shooting to planning our Act-On strategy. The Act-On team is flexible, friendly, engaged and collaborative.
  • Act-On does not over-complicate its offering. It is visually appealing and intuitive. Some platforms are just too complicated to keep on top of. We are a small team with a busy marketing schedule. We do not depend a great deal on online lead generation for our growth, however Act-On is still a good fit for us.
  • Trust. No surprises once we had signed our agreement. In fact, our expectations were exceeded.
  • Value - price for service.

Cons

  • The available reports are quite static, so there is not much you can change. However I do know that this is a function that is more advanced if you go up to the Enterprise version.
  • The alerts to sales people could be developed further, at the moment they are mainly based on demographic's of the visitor but I would like to be able to connect them to lists as well.
  • The calendar provides a good overview of what has been done, but to fully optimize it I would like to be able to add planned activities. This would give the team a better possibility to plan and coordinate.

Act-On had a lot of resources, and their staff was great at answering any questions I had to make sure we got started on the right foot. Looking back, I would have preferred some additional training sessions since we didn't have any previous experience with Marketing Automation and best practices.

Alternatives Considered

As a company, it's much more organized, much more in contact with customers, and much more willing and able to pick up their feedback and incorporate it into the product. Pricing wise, it's also much more balanced, with a fairer price mode. It's also more agnostic, in terms of CRM and other integrations. The partner program is also clearer, and IMHO better.

I personally have not done any side-by-side analysis between other platforms, our decision was not based on which platform could do the job we required, our decision was based on which company could deliverer a customized platform for our needs and unique challenges. Experiture was our choice then and is our on-going Partner with future client projects.

  • We now know how digital campaigns perform.
  • Marketing is much more agile going to market and promoting specific messages.
  • We have a specific knowledge of where opportunities came from. How we converted them from anonymous visitors to leads, to customers.

  • Its pretty simple... without the Experiture Team and their ability to customize their platform, share their knowledge, we would not have gotten the results we did on several campaigns. Such as targeting 350 prospects and getting 42 Face-to-Face appointments resulting in 21 written proposals ranging from $21,000 up to $390,000. Needless to say our client was thrilled with those results!
  • Speed-to-market was critical for another client who needed to penetrate the Pharmaceutical industry. Working with the Experiture Team, we created a customized 7-Step multichannel program that delivered many new business opportunities to our client, including becoming a preferred vendor for one of the largest US Pharmaceutical Companies! BTW, we did it all in less than six months.
  • How it all started... Prior to working with Experiture, our 7-Step process was "manual". Looking back nine years ago when we created our 7-Step Program, we never would be able to get the results we do today without the Experiture Platform, it would be virtually IMPOSSIBLE.
